East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

How easily the Dark Hunter identified Audette's greatest anxiety. She lived a life of secrecy, hiding exactly what she was from the ballet companies she worked for out of worry that they might have little interest in hiring someone supernatural. She'd certainly seen many a dancer passed over for far less. A small frown appeared upon her fair features as she considered the truth behind the Hunter's words. His own control of his affinity was quite near staggering compared to Audette's lack of discipline as far as her light was concerned. For a moment, her clove colored eyes turned towards the cement sidewalk beneath them as she considered the practicality of his approach. Perhaps it would behoove her to learn to master that light rather than merely make the effort to squelch her abilities altogether. Her gaze turned upwards towards the man, her head tilting to the side ever so slightly. Audette was no stranger to practice - her own art quite near requiring daily repetition of routines and steps and twirls. This was, surely, just another addition to her routine. "How did you practice?" She inquired, after all, she had learned ballet from an instructor, perhaps he would have some hints to assist her in becoming anywhere near as proficient as he was.

Audette was altogether oblivious of just how peculiar it was, the effort the Hunter had made to hold some level of conversation. Though their discussion had certainly taken a peculiar turn, he seemed easy to talk to even with the laughable notion of Audette somehow being violent. Even she could see the twinkle of amusement in the depth of his purple eyes. They were such an intriguing color, with flecks of lavender that could only be seen when they passed directly beneath a street light. That teasing tone to his lips, however, prompted a peal of ready laughter upon her own features before her shoulder rose in an almost lackadaisical shrug. "I don't know, I just might." Her hands rose, her fingers flexing to make claws. "Rawr." Audette commented, her seriousness only lasting a few seconds before the girl giggled at her own efforts to appear terrifying in the slightest. Frankly, Audette quite liked that glimpse of mirth upon his features compared to the very sternness she had been greeted with but minutes prior. Now that they had left behind the dark dingy alleyway, Audette was almost capable of simply putting the horrors of her near-death experience behind her. She was hardly the type to dwell terribly long upon any singular stressor within her life, the girl nearly prone to flit and flutter s fae often did from thought to activity, her dancing aside.

That very jauntiness to their conversation perhaps led to a level of confidence within the woman, prompting her near taunt of the man. She hardly anticipated for the very speed at which he so acted to close their distance. Although Audette had certainly seen him move, her own lithe figure was so caught off guard she hardly had the moment to step away from him until his arm was snug around her waist and her back against his chest. Any glimpse of fear, however, was all but absent from her features as the hunter's warm breath brushed against the top of her forehead. She could feel his fingers around her neck and yet, as Audette glanced upwards at him, there was hardly a hint of fear within her clove colored eyes. After all, he had already rescued her once from a vampire, much less made every effort to teach her those ways in which she might keep herself safe in the foreignness of the new metropolis she found herself in. It simply wasn't sensible that the man might hurt her now. An almost blank look crossed Audette's features as his shadows reached forth to embrace her, that very darkness hardly concerning enough, now, for her own radiance to break from beneath her pale skin. It was far more....friendly now, at least, in Audette's eyes. That challenge, however, caused her features to contort ever so slightly, her button nose wrinkled in a small glimpse of a pout. "That's hardly fair when you have..." Her hand reached up to flick her wrist in some gesture of vagueness. "...all that you have, " She finished finally.

Her slender figure was all but released in mere seconds with a soft sigh upon his lips and yet, Audette seemed equally as baffled to the sudden shift within him. That glimpse of nonchalance had once again disappeared beneath layers of tense sternness. Audette was hardly oblivious to that sudden space that seemed to exist between them now. Any friendship they had almost been fostering in those tender moments had all but dissipated to bring them back to mere strangers all over again. How peculiar it was, the way the feeling of things between them seemed to shift so dramatically from one end of the spectrum to back all over again. Audette fell into silence, simply letting her gaze linger upon the streets they walked and the lit up storefronts they passed. That stillness between them, however, hardly seemed to last for any great length of time before the Hunter's voice near abruptly broke it with a rather prying inquiry of his own. Her answer as to the contents of her bag, however, only seemed to prompt more questions from the man as to just what such clothing was needed for. Audette was by no means shy of her occupation, the girl altogether confident in her response. The very idea of her as a ballerina, however, seemed to baffle him, that look of consideration upon his features was hardly missed by the woman if only for the way her clove colored gaze lingered upon him.

His abrupt inquiry of how good she was at her art, however, brought a scoff to her lips as her darkly hued eyes turned towards the street in front of her. "Well enough. I went to École de danse de l'Opéra national de Paris." Her accent was thick with those French words and yet there was a level of pride all the same in her schooling. After all, the Parisian school was one of the most preeminent in the world, surely helping with her audition today to join the Sacrosanct Ballet's core. "I'm going to be a Prima, one day." The woman informed him, sure of herself despite how far away such a dream might seem. After all, how many within the core would too by vying for such a coveted position? It hardly mattered. Her species was quite near made for such art and Audette could be determined enough to take it when the mood struck her. For now, however, she allowed her interest to be ensnared by something else, namely, the alleyway that the pair had quite suddenly stopped in front of. It was intriguing, the way the shadows within that alleyway seemed darker and more potent than elsewhere. Audette followed him deeper into the depths until she began to make out the shape of...a motorcycle. That realization so quickly seemed to dawn upon the woman as she commented after his own affinity, given away by the swirling and shifting, subtle though it was, of those shadows.

Audette noted that glimpse within his features and that pride in his voice as he eyed the bicycle, only to reach for a helmet hanging from the handlebars. She caught the bulky headgear with relative ease and yet, there was a skeptical look on her features as she eyed the interior of it. It was with a soft sigh upon her lips that Audette went to see about the straps on the helmet, the girl fitting it on her head as it fell all but loosely around her. With every movement it seemed to wiggle ever so slightly, the helmet certainly not meant for her and yet, she supposed it was some sort of protection, at the very least. Her lips pressed together ever so slightly as her attention turned back upon him, just as the man tossed his leg over the biking. "Okay...." She muttered, almost hesitantly. She watched as he put the keys in the ignition, the vehicle near roaring to life beneath him. She watched as his purple gaze turned back towards her, the man's comment that the helmet suited her prompted a roll of her eyes. She was mostly certain that it absolutely did not and yet, she said little of it as he gestured her towards the bike. Audette slowly approached, one hand settled upon his shoulder as she used the man's mere presence to help herself up and over the motorcycle. Her slender fingers slowly wrapped around his waist, her petite figure all but nestling against his back with marked tightness before he kicked off that stand, guiding the bike forward and into the street.

Her gaze trailed down the street and the buildings they passed as the Hunter guided them deeper into the depths of the West. Most of those buildings were all but foreign to her, the young woman entirely silent for most of the ride until something caught her eye. Her grip lessened ever so slightly, just so she could point the building out to the man. "Oh! There! I recognize that! Go that way!" Audette exclaimed in his ear so that she could be heard over the roar of the engine. Frankly, she was glad she was able to find something that might point her to her own little home. Next time, she was going to be sure to write down her address before she left her flat.
