East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She could see the wheels turning in his head as he processed what she'd just told him. He seemed amused by her reactions as they talked about Ashton and his experience or lack there of. His next words made her brow lift in surprise though as he said hurt people were like him. So he was hurt? Her heart went out to him , though she knew better than to say anything or ask him about him. He was so busy trying to seem strong and unphased that she was sure somehow that he wouldn't tell her anything. Her gaze softened anyway. "Some day the risk will be worth it." She said in a soft but sure voice. She wasn't sure if she was talking to him or herself but either way, she had to believe that. Her eyes rolled when he called Ashton her little boyfriend. "He's not my boyfriend."

Her gaze shifted to a little disappointment when he took one more sip of his coffee and slid out of the booth. So this was good bye then. Her first meeting with a fairy and he only gave her anti-relationship tips. He gave her one last piece of advice, to go see Ashton. She couldn't help the smile that crept on her lips as she met his gaze. "I think I will." She smirked though when he put down enough money to pay for both their meals. She didn't know a lot about money but from the satisfied look on the waitress's face, she would say it was more than enough. She probably looked sketchy enough that the waitress figured she wasn't going to pay. And that waitress would be correct. Malia watched as Boone walked out the door, her gaze still reluctant to let him go. But then he looked back and winked and she couldn't help but giggle, her face immediately growing brighter as he then disappeared around the corner. Well, she could now say that she was friends with a fairy. For all his talk of no attachments or emotions, she would still consider him a friend, so there.
