East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Western King's malachite hued irises scrutinized with noticeable indifference the glimpses of discontent and disbelief that momentarily fluttered upon the fair facade of the woman he'd once called his own. That ambiguity clearly failed to bring her any sort of comfort and yet, the very truth of his downfall was also his greatest vulnerability - a secret kept even from Tobias himself. He witnessed as the anguish that his presence wrought her transformed, blossoming in a clear longing as her crystalline irises turned upwards in the stagnant silence that so enveloped them. The very culmination of all that had gone unsaid and unexpressed weighed heavily in the very hush of that near poignant moment and yet, not a word left the lips of the stoic Alpha. He listened to that very sound that reverberated in the back of her throat, those very feelings quite clearly subdue with the almost delicate invitation to chat. It seemed so strikingly frivolous in comparison to what they had once been. Samantha had, after all, had been one of the few women to ever penetrate the impregnable walls that so surrounded both his heart and mind. Even so, his own emotions remained nothing more then astoundingly incessant - that blissful nothingness somehow had devoured the Were-King in a manner that had become far more profound than the detachment he had found even in those months the pair had dated. That difference, though subtle, was surely noticeable even as Tetradore offered her an almost dismissive shrug of his shoulder.

His consent, however, hinged entirely upon that cup of coffee that had certainly beckoned the Western Alpha within the first place - his need for caffeine had become nothing short of substantial of late as he so juggled the very world that so oppressively surrounded him. His gaze briefly fluttered towards the menu and yet, it was fleeting in the wake of the stammering that marred the fae's soprano lyrics. The very corners of his lips tilted downwards in a small glimpse of consideration and yet, Tetradore merely provided the smallest bob of his head as he approached the bar, the Alpha clearly on friendly enough terms with the Warlock nestled behind the counter. Those words exchanged, however, hardly served as a suitable distraction from the thoughts that plagued him, the man contemplating the consequences of Samantha's return and the very changes that would surely affect his own life in the wake of it. Things, after all, had changed ever since she'd vanished from the confines of that spiraling metropolis. He had come to terms with the ivory steed he'd once so valiantly fought on her behalf, an accord now struck between them, the very sorts he had come to rely on. Her roommate had become a sibling, that relationship far more valuable than he cared to admit. And his own sister, her closest companion, had not spoken to him once since his return to life - the magnitudes of the gap between the pair far greater than any singular soul could cross. Tetradore had found a comfortableness in those changes and now, he could only anticipate just how Samantha's return might again rock those placid waters.

A soft breath left the Were-King's lips as he took that thick white coffee cup into his hands, the very warmth of it near radiating in his palm. His own pace was sluggish as he approached the table Samantha had chosen, the Alpha settling heavily into the chair across her, leaning back into it as he regarded the woman in front of him. His vibrant gaze fluttered towards her sweetheart lips as she nibbled with apprehension upon the sensitive skin. His shoulder lifted in yet another obscure gesture, "It's fine, I was going to rent it out or something anyways." Tetradore's baritone voice was little more than a murmur, the matter of her living arrangements by far the last consideration upon his mind. After all, it had sat vacant within her absence, repaired by a trio of individuals before remaining neglected and quiet as little more than yet another property upon his recent tax forms. At the very least Samantha was a far easier tenant than any stranger he might welcome into the home. His emerald eyes fluttered towards the window as he brought that coffee cup to her lips, altogether uncertain of what to say now that Samantha had returned.
