The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Oliver Burton
With proficient ease, he places his number within her phone. "My direct line. Very few people have this number, its top secret, do you think you can keep it that way?" He had no doubts that Miss Abigail would keep that number mainly to himself and yet he felt the need to give that warning anyway. He could somehow see that horror scene of her declaring she had a friend named Oliver who needed more friends. Oh, dear god, maybe this was a terrible idea, it was a good thing he hardly paid it much regard. Nevertheless, if it was or if it wasn't the inkling of Abigail contacting him to keep herself from making any more ridiculous decisions like joining a random pack, well that seemed to bring the man a semblance of comfort. "All done." He slides the phone back to her then, his own shortly following. "Its only fair you do the same."
How starving he was, that inner bear had made him nearly ravenous, all the damn time. Perhaps it was that predatory nature or maybe it the simple fact that his animal form was just so gigantic! He hardly knew. He would NEVER turn down food, not ever, if anyone had a weakness, food was certainly his. It certainly didn't help just how starving he was and just how scrumptious this meal smelt like. It was his favorite, fish. Abigail was certainly not the worst creature to have lunch with, no not at all and she had won points in bringing one of his most favourite meals. She mentions she brought the food from her place of work eagerly inviting him to eat there. "I will have to send you a message when I know what my week is like." It was a rare thing when Oliver ever showed up unannounced and when he did, he had a very good reason to do so. He hardly could help himself, devouring that meal before like it was his very last. Shoveling those large heaping bites into his mouth, he seemed to slow his starved animal pace when he saw the wide hazel eyes of Abby staring at him in response to his words. She looked like an anime caricature, far too innocent for a world like this. Just how easy it would have been for a pack or someone in this very city to take advantage of her. So, when she divulges that she was going to be joining a pack, he could hardly help that raging protective beast that roars to life within him. He hardly held back.
Who would dare to take advantage of this cinnamon haired sweetheart? He would hardly not allow such a fate to occur, not if he could help it. He would have done the same thing for his sister if she were here too. He was strongly protective over her and she had refused his protection, idly batting him away like he were cramping his style. Perhaps he was. Ultimately, all he ever wished was that she was safe, each and every single day, there was always a worry in the back of his head, nagging and poking away at him. It was for this reason he could not help the way he allows those questions to come, one by one, cutting right to the heart of it like the ruthless businessman he was, all while explaining that not all packs were nice. Not everyone was friendly, not everyone was the mask they wore. A sigh escapes him.. It was a damn good thing he had come to her when he did. Abby goes on to explain with that same enthusiastic flare that was so very much iconic of the woman across from him. "Don't you worry, we will not leave them hanging." Determination sparking within him then, perhaps a tad ominous in the way it was delivered. The Englishman was seemingly ruthless when it came to the people he cared about.
How quickly that little panda offers him everything he needed to know and so much more. However, there was a character defining question that lingered in his mind. What animal was this Frost? Just how very clueless this businessman was when it came to the local packs in the city. He preferred to be the solitary creature he was destined to be. He took another bite of that food, deep in thought. They were making quick work of that delicious meal. Sadly, he was sure he could have eaten at least 3 fully cooked fish right here and now. However, It at the very least took the edge off.
A grumble of surprised escapes his lips after he swallowed and thoroughly chewed that food in his mouth. She didn't know what he was! "There is a big difference between a moose and an elephant!!" Another exasperated sigh escapes the bear of a man. "I will need to meet him so we can figure this out once and for all.." He declared near sternly, leaving no room for ifs ands or buts. If she was this determined to join a pack then he would make sure she was running headlong into a mistake. "After this delicious meal, I have no intentions of eating him, unless he is deserving of it." He vows at least this much to her, those very words were hardly comforting in the least and even more so, obscure. This hardly seemed to bother the sun kissed woman with near glowing features, the sun bringing out the most beautiful red hue in her hair and the intricate hues within her eyes. An amused giggle and girlish delight escaped her so eagerly! She hardly seemed phased at all, not even the slightest. How full of life she was, how innocent and excited for every challenge that bore down upon her.
The warm bubbly woman explained how Frost didn't even know they were coming. Perhaps this was just the opportunity they needed to question that potentially nefarious soul. "I rarely show up anywhere without an appointment. However, I think we can use this to see just what kind of elephant he truly is. You are right, if he does not pass this test, I will make sure to it that you are safe, and no one pressures you." In his mind, Frost was indeed an elephant, even though Abigail seemed quite determined to think he was a moose. Maybe she was right and maybe after meeting this strangely named man they could finally put this ridiculousness to rest. All of it. How delighted she seemed over all of this and all the man could think of was all the possible ways this could go terribly wrong. The woman exclaimed victoriously that he should finish up the fish so they could go. He could not argue with that. Oh, what was he getting himself into, he thought in between mouthfuls of that succulent food, still taking his time to enjoy those delightful flavours.
"You might very well be the end of me.." He jested, or was it a jest at all was yet to be discovered... behind that, there lingered more truth than he was willing to admit. "Stay close.. I will have Edgar, my driver take us. You do know how to get us there, don't you?"
And with that the two of them set off on their very first quest, at the very least this way he could keep her safe.
