East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

aiden tetradore

Of late, Tetradore had been pulled away from his pack far more frequently than he desired. Between his family and Risque's needs, there had been times when the Were-King was gone for days on end without the slightest explanation for his absence. Juggling those many facets of his world had become an ever taxing effort - one that was apparently showing through despite his best attempts. Although Tetradore was well aware of the weight of Raven's gaze upon him, he was all but oblivious to the woman's keen observations of his own exhaustion. A restful sleep, after all, had become quite the commodity for the Alpha and one he presently desperately needed. His own thoughts were pulled away from the allure of his bed, however, as Raven abruptly inquired if he was okay. The question rather caught the man off guard and yet he was quick to assure her he was perfectly fine. Tetradore was hardly prepared for the young woman's insistence, however, as her fingers reached out to gingerly brush against his hand in a manner so atypical to the woman. He was well aware of her tendency to often avoid his touch in the slightest fashion, much less the way she tended to flinch from him despite the many years the pair had now spent side by side. To have her initiate such physical contact was nothing short of an anomaly, one that caused his eyebrow to rise as his emerald irises stared almost suspiciously at her.

"Yes...." He started almost as if he anticipated there was far more to her question than he had first anticipated. "I'm sure...you do enough around the Ark as it is..." Was she...looking for some additional...task she could take on around their home or something? Tetradore was hardly unaware of the young girl's tendency to evaluate her self worth based on what she could do at the Ark - though frankly, he thought she attempted to take on too much as it was. Was that what this was about? The Were-King watched as she slowly slid her hand away from his own, though the Alpha himself hardly moved, the man entirely baffled by the change in Raven's usually steadfast demeanor. Tetradore watched as the girl set her cup of tea down, only to rub her fingers against her own arm as if she was trying to soothe herself. The Were-King leaned back in his own seat, his coffee cup nestled between his hands as he inquired what 'blood' had to do with anything. The intensity of his gaze hardly deviated as Raven attempted to explain her peculiar comment of 'blood', comparing it to the bizarre relationship she had with her little witch friend. A soft sound of understanding left his lips though Tetradore saw no reason to expand upon her comment. After all, his whole life he had been characterized as 'difficult to read and understand'. It was the only way in which he had survived. It was the only way he knew how to survive.

Tetradore popped the last bite of his cookie into his mouth as Raven looked up at him with a small smile. Thankfully, she hardly seemed to be looking for a response to her comment as she fell back into silence, nibbling on her cupcake in the process. He was hardly prepared for her sudden announcement, however, that Tobias and she were going to attempt to try for a child of their own. A glimpse of surprise crossed his features as Tetradore slowly chewed on his cookie, the Were-King making an effort to gather his thoughts before he offered any hint of a response. "Best of luck." He commented, pausing only to add as an afterthought, "I'm sure you will both be fine parents." That was what she wanted out of him, wasn't it? Reassurance...or something? Tetradore reached for his cup of coffee as his gaze turned towards the window. "Let me know when you're done with your cupcake." He commented, having distinctly little to add to the topic of children. After all, Raven and Tobias venture into a true family had little real effect upon him. It would be nice for Tobias, he was sure, to have a family of his own. Perhaps it was nearing time to send the pair away to a true home of their own - far from the danger his presence could bring on the chance they had a feline child.
