East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He couldn't tell if the woman was amused or surprised that he called out to thank her as they both left the store with broken windows and sirens echoing through the streets. Taylor just felt it was the polite thing to do, plus he was intrigued. What did she do and how did she do it? Sure, he'd started to question some things after that night in the park with the little girl. He knew she was something more, something else. She was just like the vampires from the movies, even down to where she drank blood from his wrist like it was the most natural thing in the world. But he'd tried to put that night behind him ever since and almost pretended it never happened. He'd never seen anything like what the woman before him just did in the jewelry store though. What was she? The woman offered a chuckle before saying she aimed to amaze. A brow shot up as Taylor caught on the edge of her tone, something like sarcasm or just humor as she then asked if he would buy her a drink.

He nodded before he thought better of it, nudging his head toward the path ahead where he knew some less shady bars were. Maybe shady was her type of place but since he didn't know, he would give her that benefit of the doubt. "Sure. Lead the way." He responded as he fell into step with her. "My bike's right up here if you need a ride somewhere." He added on, trying to stay the gentleman. He knew there was plenty of bars and joints in walking distance but didn't know exactly where this mysterious woman liked to hang out and drink. As they walked, he looked around, anywhere but at her. He told himself it was so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable but if he was honest with himself, he knew exactly who the uncomfortable one was here and it wasn't the exotic woman walking beside him. He cleared his throat. "So, do you live in Sacrosanct or are you just passing through?" That was an innocent question, right?
