I've been reading books of old the legends and the myths
The longer that Piper made her laps around the block, the more insane she began to feel. There was a reason why the human girl had neglected to speak about her run in with the Dark Hunter and the vampire to anyone else: because anyone else would have told her to forget about the entire situation. Her father, who had warned her about getting involved in the supernatural world, would likely be having a heart attack if he knew how Piper had literally flirted with danger. Or worse, how Piper was eager to recreate the thrill and adrenaline rush that she hadn't been able to shake from her mind. And perhaps that was why she hadn't spoke to anyone about the dark haired artist that she couldn't get out of her mind, or her... literal stalking, at this point. Anyone else in her life would have her committed for this.
In the time that had passed since the sun had sank below the horizon, that chill had crept into the threads of her worn peacoat and the young woman felt it almost necessary to abandon her mission. She stopped, then, pulling her phone out of her pocket in an attempt to look busy. There was nothing on her phone that was truly interesting, other than the young woman, Charotte, that she'd recently hired to run the bookshop in her absence informing her that the store was closed and locked up for the night - at least there was that. It was the sound of coughing that brought Piper's attention out of her own thoughts and back to the real world. At this point, what was the harm in being friendly with another wayward soul in these streets?
Her quiet musings were met just as she would have expected, with that stare Piper herself often used when trying to decide if someone was high, crazy, or just overly friendly. Piper certainly wasn't the first, but the latter two were debatable. Piper offered the young woman her name as she watched her fiddle with the flannel shirt, pulling it on over her bare shoulders. God, wasn't the woman freezing? Piper had just about opened her mouth to apologize for interrupting the stranger's solitude when an arm was extended her way to shake hands. Piper's smile spread across her features as she took her new companion's hand and shook it. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Buffy."
Piper watched silently as the young woman scanned the door, the young blonde entirely oblivious to the meeting that was occurring inside the building, nor of the woman's absence from that very meeting. That suggestion to get out of the cold found Piper's own gaze fleeting to the skyscraper that she had been circling. Starlight Tower had a classy restaurant, did it not? And that restaurant certainly had a bar... A bar that a certain Hunter might be choosing to lurk at after a shift at Pentagram... right?
"Actually," Piper said, her smile charming as she straightened. There was no reason she couldn't utilize this opportunity to get to know this stranger as a reason to be in the same place at the same time as the boy she was so determined to run into again. "That would be great. There's a bar inside Starlight Tower that a lot of cute corporate men like to frequent after work. If anything, we'll get some good eye candy and maybe some free drinks." She tilted her head in the direction of the building, taking two steps towards it. "Are you coming? I heard it's no good to drink alone.
