The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Her lips were parted ever so slightly as Abigail stared, entranced, at the flaming fiery Mr. Lulu. His jaws snapped at the crowd as he passed, the poor woof-woof had certainly woken up on the wrong side of the bed! He was probably just hungry but Abigail was rather certain that none of the people present possessed the specific....traits...that Mr. Lulu was looking for in a meal. She had hardly considered volunteering at the Magician's prompting, Abigail was far more content to simply linger in the background and watch with large saucer eyes. She glanced around the crowd inquisitively as the Magician called for a volunteer, the girl entirely unprepared to suddenly be thrusted into the spotlight herself! Her! The crowd parted around her as she was singled out and tentatively her finger rose to point at herself almost questioningly. He couldn't REALLY want her, could he?! Why her! The rambunctious encouraging of the crowd was almost too much pressure as Abigail cautiously strode forward. The Magician, however, held out his hand as she stepped out from the crowd and, hesitantly, she reached out to place hers within it. A soft squeak of surprise left her lips as he tugged her towards him, only to turn her in a circle with a near dramatic flare only to face Mr. Lulu head on! Oh goodness! She could see why bad people found him super duper scary! With his mouth open like that he totally looked like he could fit ALL of her in his mouth!!
The Magician's hand released hers, leaving poor Abigail to face Mr. Lulu all by herself! Or at least, that was what she thought before the warm, tickling sensation of his breath touched her ear, prompting her shoulder to rise. Her head turned slightly towards the side as she looked back at him, only to nod firmly in agreement. Okay. Stand right here. She could totally do that. She was an AWESOME stander. Like...the best. The Magician returned towards the crowd as Mr Lulu bared his teeth at her, the very sight prompted a near animalistic instinct within the Were-Panda to steppppp baacccck. In fact, she had managed one tiny shuffle backwards before she remembered one very important thing - Mr. Magician had told her to STAY THERE. Mr Lulu did not seem to like her presence though. Nope! Not one bit! He got low to the ground as he stalked closer towards her, and really Abigail had to fight the urge to raise her own hands and look all big and intimidating as her kind often tried to do. After all, she WAS bigger than him! Well....currently..anyways, even if she wasn't exactly more dangerous then all that fire. The Magician's offer to help her discover her own power (he could do that?!?!) provoked a very very exuberant reaction from the crowd, one that Abigail found herself agreeing too with enthusiastic nodding. She definitely did not want to become Mr. Lulu's dinner! She was a good girl! Honest!
The Magician quickly made his way back towards her, only to stand behind her right as Mr. Lulu began to stalk close enough for Abigail to feel the heat off of him. The girl could hardly help but to shrink back and, coincidentally, into the man who stood behind her. His insistence to hold out her hands was one she was SUPER quick to follow, only to glance back at him to make sure she was doing it right. Her eyebrows furrowed as she tried to imagine ALL THE ENERGY in her body going to her fingertips before, suddenly, a burst of warmth caused a soft gasp of surprise upon her lips. All of a sudden, flames burst from her fingertips at the Magician's word, shooting up into the sky to create some magnificently WONDERFUL creature. She watched in awe as the magical thing hovered above her for a brief moment, only for Mr. Lulu and her super awesome friend to do battle with heat and fire and a giant explosion! That climax of an event left ash falling down around them - the crowd near boisterous in their cheering while Abigail merely stood there utterly surprised. Where...where had they gone?!?!
That gentle bump of the Magician's elbow upon her arm as he passed only briefly brought her startled gaze towards him. She....she did it? But what did she do?! She couldn't make FIRE from her fingertips! Could she? Had he awoken some power within her? Her hazel eyes turned towards her hands as she tried snapping her fingers together, entirely inattentive to the crowd that had begun to disperse or the money they dropped within the Magician's hat. Rather, she was focused on seeing if she could make that warmth return to her hands - one that, no matter how much she concentrated, seemed to definitely not be there. Abigail glanced up at the Magician's voice, the girl hardly realized that she hadn't moved at all before her head shook. "But...but I don't have a dragon soul!" She insisted, even in spite of his grin. She definitely had a red panda soul! She was SURE of it! She'd never even SEEN a dragon! Could someone turn into something like THAT?! It was HUGE and super duper cool but definitely NOT like her. She watched as the Magician reached down to fold several bills within his hands, only to tuck them within his back pocket. The crowd, at this point, had left them entirely, not that Abigail had noticed with the ever increasing number of questions that had begun to populate within her mind.
It was his offer of a drink, however, that caused her head to tilt ever so slightly to the side. A drink? A drink sounded nice. Like a glass of water, especially after all that heat. It had been so hot! That was nice of him to offer. Her head bobbed, "Okay....but where did Mr. Lulu go? How did you bring him here? Did you give me fire powers? Can I do that again? What's a dragon?" Those questions fell near rapid fire from her lips as she turned towards the Magician, entirely oblivious of exactly what she had agreed to. After all, she had to know for sure if she had somehow managed to FINALLY become a REAL firefox! How cool would that be!
