East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She was sure somehow Alexander would have plenty to say in criticism on the way horseback riding was protrayed on the tv screen, but any time with him was time well spent so she would enjoy herself, either way. It was too much of a surprise that he would agree to it anyway for her to protest, even if she wanted to. He chuckled at her tease about training, admitting he was known to be difficult at times. She tried to appear innocent and nonchalant, shrugging her shoulders lightly as she let out a sigh. "Well, I'm sure you would be gentle....or not, if you prefer." She couldn't even meet his eyes that time, barely able to keep herself from smirking as she stared straight ahead between her mare's ears.

The barn came into view way too quickly for her liking but she was sure her boyfriend had plenty to do for her to be taking up all his time. She watched with fascination as he dismounted and cared for his horse before turning to help her with hers. He escorted her back to the car, saying he was glad she had fun. As they headed back toward the Ark, she took turns staring out the window at the beautiful night sky and sneaking glances at the handsome man beside her. Once they pulled up to the docks, she looked out at the brightly lit Ark and smiled. It really was home. She turned for Alexander to lean over, placing a gentle kiss on her lips before he told her good night. She smiled, whispering back. "Good night, Alexander. Thank you." Sure that he knew what for, she gave his arm a gentle squeeze before getting out of the car and heading up the walkway.
