East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young witch was particularly cautious of discussing illicit matters in such a public place, her words chosen with distinct care to ensure that any eavesdroppers hardly heard anything amiss in their...peculiar conversation. The name of the cathedral, however, immediately garnered her attention from the Greecian before her. He was quick to note some familiarity with the name alone - though the facade of the building itself hadn't seemed to secure a place within his memory. How nice that must be to have seen so many stately churches that one could fade into the background. How different it was for Serafina - the witch having only left the city of Sacrosanct once to date and certainly not to any sort of place where churches were the norm. The corners of her lips twitched upward in some faux display of understanding, the witch merely nodding in agreement before she continued on to the heart of the matter - a very particular deacon. She had already noted the man of faith's schedule, just as she had ensured to see first hand if he had the item she desired. All that was left was to procure it - and Serafina was keen to set the stage even for that as she mentioned the 'liberating' act of confession.

An audible sigh left the girl's sweet heart lips as she listened to Gideon's staunch refusal to confess any of his deeds, her eyes rolling at his insistence to take such things to his grave. "Gideon, I'm not actually telling you to go confess to a priest." She declared with one brow raised. Had he truly missed the subtlety of her words? She sighed again, her gaze briefly shifting around the tables before she leaned forward. "I can tell you're not catholic so let me fill you in on something. When you have a confession, you can request to have it done in a reconciliation room instead of the confessional. It's a small room with just you and the deacon...face to face.....alone." Her stormy eyes met the assassin's gaze, as if to ensure he got the point of exactly what she was telling him. She leaned back, her hand raising to gesture obscurely towards her own neck, "He wears this necklace given to him by the Bishop. It's a silver cross. It doesn't look particularly unique but it's a vessel for....something I need." Despite her faith in Gideon, even she was careful not to tell him exactly what she was after. It granted him plausible deniability...sort of...and wasn't that best for both of them?
