East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Alexander

His life, of late, had been filled with mythical encounters. Though perhaps such a thing was not particularly peculiar for a man who was legendary in his own right. Still, between chasing down his grandson-in-law's demonic grandfather and being dragged on a wild goose chase for a fabled unicorn, Alexander had been away from the cafe more often than not. Unfortunately, neither had wound up as very fruitful endeavors (at least one of which was not the least bit surprising), leaving the conqueror in a relatively foul mood. The cold winter wind pushed in on him, forcing Alexander to draw his peacoat closer to his figure. Peritas, beside him, hardly seemed concerned by the cold. His thick fur protected him from the wetness of the Pacific Northwest. It was, Alexander supposed, hardly as cruel as the weather across the Mongolian fields in which the puppy had been found - not that the word 'puppy' truly described the dog any longer. He had begun to grow into his figure rapidly ever since Alexander had brought him back to Sacrosanct. The canine was now big enough to garner several looks as he walked obediently beside the hunter without a collar or leash.

Alexander pulled open the front door of the cafe, the warm heat from within embracing both Peritas and himself as they stepped into the Inner Sanctum. The Bankhar dog trotted into the cafe with clear familiarity, Peritas making his way towards the cracked door behind the counter where the Macedonian King's office lay and, more importantly, where the comfort of a large plush bed awaited him. Alexander's gaze briefly scanned the cafe, the simple commanding presence that accompanied him earned the ancient several glances from newer supernatural patrons. A small dip of the head was afforded towards him by some of his regulars, one which the King answered in kind as he made his way through the room - passing by the register just in time to note the almost...panicked look Alexis gave the man in front of her. Alex's brows furrowed as he glanced over the stranger from behind, his instincts readily assuring him the man was a Were of some kind. Did they know each other? If so, it hardly seemed like a pleasant relationship, given the way Alexis seemed to stare at him - the rest of the world seeming to fall into the backdrop for her. How...peculiar.

He moved around them, keeping an eye on them as he approached the door to his office. A small frown settled upon his features as Alexander paused within the door frame, the Dark Hunter leaning heavily against it as he turned to watch the interaction between the pair, his arms crossed over his chest. His attention, however, remained focused on the strange shifter in his cafe, the very weight of his gaze briefly drawing the man's attention - though he presented the King with a warm smile. Slowly, the Macedonian's brow rose, even as he watched Alexis turn, tensely, to hand the man his drink. Her head remained ducked, purposefully avoiding his gaze as she stared intently at the countertop before her. It was only once the man turned away that Alexander left his sentinel post, the Hunter stepping into his office to pull his warm peacoat from his figure, draping it over his chair. Within minutes, Alexis' petite frame filled the doorway, her hands filled with her things. It was her very presence that saw the Macedonian glance upward towards her, his brows furrowing slightly as he moved towards her, "Did you know that man? The one at the counter?"
