East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Felicity smirked as the cigarette was whisked from her fingers. She rose, sneering at the horse boy's "when you're ready to stand," missing how he lit the cigarette but thinking nothing of it. "I dunno what you're talking about," she drawled, stretching her arms above her head and bringing them quickly back down when her stomach once more threatened mutiny. It seemed only to have been caused by her stretch, however, and went away quickly enough when she stood normally. Turning, she trotted forward to resume her position at Frost's side, standing closer this time but still ever so slightly behind. She was stronger now, but projectile vomit was not as impressive as its name suggested in a scuffle for dominance. In fact, it was quite a disadvantage.

"I don't know what I was expecting, but a house wasn't it," she said as they walked. She took a drag on her cigarette. "Perhaps a stable would have surprised me less." She chuckled. She realized as they walked that her hangover-like symptoms were probably credited to the fact that she had consumed nothing more than coffee that day. Though the thought of putting anything in her rebellious stomach made her want to gag, she figured she should eat something soon and decided to get her promised meal out of Frost as soon as possible. A nap, too, hopefully; a couch or even an armchair sounded like a lovely bed at this point. Her tired body ached at the thought, and she picked up the pace, trying to subtly drive Frost forward as well so he could still show her the way to his alleged house.

At his comment about her hair, Felicity frowned. "My hair? What -- oh," she said, remembering. While the change had been simply a return to the norm for her, she supposed it was a little more for those who had seen her during her lapse -- primarily Frost. "Thanks, I guess. It's apparently 'in' right now, but I shaved it 'cause I have a scar there and it's not going to grow normally anyway," she explained, figuring it didn't make a difference if the horse boy knew about the scar's existence. She ran her fingers through the cropped hair in question. The skin beneath was rough with threads of scar tissue. "If I had friends, I'd tell you not to tell them about it," she said. "Though, if I had friends you wouldn't be talking to them anyway, and I don't even have friends to begin with so this isn't much of a problem." She ran her other hand through the rest of her hair, the locks twisted and coarse like a horse's tail that's gone unbrushed for some time. Felicity's hair was less straight than most horse hair, however, falling in kinky waves that were twisted and tousled enough to resemble dreads on occasion.

She disentangled her fingers from her hair and passed the cigarette from her left hand to her right again and drew it to her lips. They were passing houses now, and as they approached a very average and covert house, Felicity was unsurprised when they turned toward it and left the street. The townhouse was so ordinary that in a line of extraordinary houses, the ordinary itself became the extraordinary. Of course, it was not so blatant as Felicity thought it was at first; while it seemed incredibly appropriate to the wolf girl, it was in fact fairly subtle. No one would bother to spare a thought for a modest townhome that seemed the slightest bit out of place in a row of larger, more magnificent houses. Of course, that must have been his intent.

As they entered, Felicity had the strong desire to explore, but her curiosity was stifled when Frost directed her abruptly to a study area and she remembered her reason for being here. She tucked herself into the indicated chair, folding herself into its cushioned corners and sighing quietly after wrestling her way free of the backpack, which she tossed unceremoniously onto the floor before her. She once again dug through to retrieve the notebook.

"These are mostly notes and sketches. There's not much I need to tell you, aside from some of the more sensitive details I neglected to record in case that notebook left my possession. If I'm caught with information, it should be pretty basic, rather useless information. I won't seem much of a threat that way." She opened the notebook and flipped through it. Inside were rough sketches of the fighting pit and some notes on how that worked, then more detailed drawings of a woman and a wolf. Those held no notes, and Felicity offered no explanation for them. She would disclose the inside of the Arc to Frost as much as she was able, but she did not want to disclose Raven.

The next few pages contained descriptions of some of the individuals she had discretely studied in the Arc, along with a description of the fight that had taken place during her stay there. After that were sketches and notes as to what she guessed the rest of the Arc's interior looked like and its purposes. She also included a crude map of the warehouse district and any evidence she had found of territory borders.

"First of all, I need to you promise me some food otherwise I'm gonna pass out in a few minutes here." She rested her head on the back of the chair as if to make a point of her weariness. "Seriously. Also a place to crash tonight would be great. We can negotiate a bed in a minute here.

"It's rather obvious that everything happens in that boat, the Arc. Most ranks are decided by these fights in an arena on the Arc. I intend to throw myself into that arena once I'm strong enough, by the way. There's some good prize money and braining people is fun. Anyway, most of that's in the notebook --" she tossed the little book at the white-haired boy with little care as to whether or not he caught it "-- and that's not really important. There are two or three people, ish, running the Arc. I think. I met one of them, possibly, though that one might not technically run the place with the others. I think she was just ranked really high or something. I'm also pretty sure she's close to the leaders, but don't quote me on that." She paused, assuming he was keeping up but expecting a question or two that she probably couldn't answer. "My info is sketchy at best," she admitted. She hadn't meant to say what she had about Raven. Now that it was out of her mouth, Felicity realized that that information could easily be used against the other wolf. She resolved to shut her trap and only answer questions now.

"I'd like that food now," she announced, narrowing her eyes and disregarding whether or not the other Were had actually agreed to feed her.
