East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

She is far more curious then she should have been. Her love of baked goods overtaking any common sense she seemed to possess. He is patient and she is grateful for this, she should have been trembling instead she is more calm then when she'd first entered the City. She does not move, does not step closer, her instincts kicking in that he was by far the more dangerous predator. She knows that she had a lot to learn about the environment around her but the majority of what she knew came from the carefully regulated books that she had been gifted with. Her knowledge was probably far outdated and this was something she would have to try and rectify. She was sure that had he even moved an inch it would have sent her skittering backwards in fear, a common emotion she seemed to be having but one she has now come to realize meant that her power would rise full force to protect her. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt someone without meaning to, especially a Hunter.

As he confirms his identity she could only tilt her head to study him, her fingers unconsciously touching her hip. Those other Hunters she had come into contact with had smelled highly of silver, blood and death, it had seemed to be in their very essence and had only grown stronger with each kill. But this man in front of her smelled more of chocolate then blood and this is what spurs her to take a step closer, away from the chill of the window and the humans at her back that seemed to cause her more anxiety then he did. Maybe. At his offer to show her, she perks up her gaze drawn back towards the window again, "Would you?" She asks, running her fingers through her hair uncomfortable with her sudden appearance in such a seemingly upscale place.

But he didn't seem to care about that as he gestures her forward and heads inside. She pauses for a few seconds, debating this choice, she had asked and was genuinely curious as to the outcome. At the same time he was also a Hunter, yet he had had plenty of opportunity to cause harm when she had been oblivious and hadn't. It is this train of thought had has her opening the door and entering the warmth of the café, all but following on his heels as she inhales to take in the different scents. She avoids eye contact with the humans, because maybe if she doesn't acknowledge their existence then they wouldn't eat her. As they approached the cases though, she seemed to forget her discomfort at the people around them, instead focusing on the seemingly perfectly arrayed pastries. "Oh, they are so pretty," she murmurs, even going so far as to bend down to peer at them, careful not to touch lest she spoil it.
