East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i dont wanna be your vessel anymore
The flash of red caught Blake's eyes and he would have to admit he was secretly delighted that the red belonged to the bartender. He would be lying if he didn't admit he had a bit of a soft spot for redheads but he couldn't be blamed. A small smile touched the corners of his mouth as their eyes met briefly, a bit of surprise that she had beautiful blues instead of the green he assumed. It was a welcome surprise, they were pretty shade of blue and just seemed to add to her charm, even if she hadn't said a word yet. He drummed his fingers across the bar top absently as she made his drink, his eyes watching her hands work before they jumped up to her face as she spoke.

"Sheppard's Pie and top-notch whiskey? Damn, you don't waste any time tempting my vices."

Blake jested lightly in response, nodding in the affirmative. It had been a long time since he had enjoyed a good meal and the weather outside was dreadful so he could see no reason to not indulge.

"Is that what you would recommend or a favorite of yours..?"

While usually Blake simply picked up a menu, he did like to get the opinion of the staff at restaurants sometimes because they knew the food. Hell, they better know the food since they serve it day in and day out. He found usually this way he got the best dishes while avoiding the mistakes, though sometimes he found himself disagreeing with the staff. That was a matter of taste and preferences, not necessarily bad staff. Also, he liked the conversation. It made the experience more pleasing and since the pub was mostly quiet, it seemed a perfect time to engage the lovely redhead. He glanced for a name tag but saw none, figuring he would have to bother her for a name maybe later. Though if she plied him with many drinks he may forget the name and simply call her a wallet-robber as he probably purchased too many things to fuel his vices.

Blake looked around the pub again, silently taking in all the decoration and care put into the place. He would admit, it was absolutely amazing how many little touches there were to make it just flow perfectly. It was the right amount of charm, coziness, and rustic charm about the place. Upscale yet not suffocatingly so. Then there was the staircase, something he was tempted to wander upstairs and investigate the area hiding upstairs. Maybe he would drift up there later to look around, just be nosy in general. Or he could ask her but he was a little embarrassed to do that. He liked the craftsmanship but it felt weird asking for a 'tour' of the place, if you would. He turned his attention back to her, still seeming a bit distracted as he mulled over different parts of the place. If the food was any good and drinks reasonable, he may have found himself a new haunt.
