East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With familiar, joyous music playing and tickling the mind of the professor, Nolan surveyed Red on the Water with a particular brand of elderly amusement. The pub was superb; a blend of American influences and those of a land he had lived and traveled and longed for deep within his soul. How tickled was he that the pub existed so close to his new location, perhaps it was fate! With rosy cheeks did Mr.Donovan's features turn upwards in a contagious grin, infecting those surrounding him as if fever had struck gold within the establishment. Thoughtfully did he begin drumming his fingers to the beat of the song until the beat turned into a similar kind of contagion, flowing through him and energizing him enough to the point of a happy sway until a vaguely familiar tone graced his ears above the din of the music of his home.

Upon turning, Mr.Donovan was greeted with a sight for sore eyes. The beautiful red-headed girl that stood before him was the very essence and embodiment of the land he had been in love with, the very idea of home bringing a broader, more jovial (if it were possible) smile to his kind face. A spry rush of adrenaline caused the professor to clasp his hands together as if sighting a dear friend for the first time in a long, long period as he greeted the young woman's words with an energetic nod.

"Now, now, my dear! One could never forget such a lovely young lady as yourself," Nolan began, his brilliant energy flowing through his accented voice. "What a sight for sore eyes you are, Ms.Griffin!" Appreciatively did he sigh, his fingers slipping around the beer as it was offered to him. With a hearty sip, Nolan sloshed the drink back on the bar before immediately lifting it once more in toast to her. "Ah, yes! I remember your class well. What a splendid mind you've got. Now, do an old man a favor and sit for a drink." With a charming and almost endearing wink did the professor brandish a hand towards the open seat beside him, his cherub-like face brimming with amusement and delight at the prospect of hearing tales of the girl's flourishing life.

"Had you any idea this lovely place existed? Right under our noses! Such a splendid little pub, almost like the one on the street of our beloved University!"
