East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I keep going to the river to pray.

It had been quite sometime since Willow had been outside for this long let alone by herself and far away from that bastard, 3 days 6 hours and 32 minutes since she had made it out of that hell hole. She only stopped running when she had made it to this town nothing she was safer in big crowds then if she was out in the wild where they could tract her sent easier. After three days of running Willow looked like hell herself, her once beautiful white hair was grim frizzy and full of dirt and sweat. Her jeans where faded and her black t-shirt clung to her skin showing how truly small she was, she was wearing an old pair of beat up running shoes even though she hated them. Willow had made her way up to the east side growing curious of the town itself and the people, she had slowly wandered around for most of the day and the sun had just recently set about an hour ago. Darkness was something she had gotten used to being locked in the dark confinements of that damn basement, not a single window and a small light on the other side of the room was the only time she could see, which in turn made it a little easier for her eyes to adjust to the darkness around her.

It was fairly dead out on the streets only a few people walked by Willow without a care in the world, the girl kept her eyes on the ground in front of her as she put one foot in front of the other not sure where she was headed. She knew she would have to leave town soon and move on to lose them, there was no way she was going back to that hell hole. At the sound of foot steps somewhere in front of her Willow slowly lifted her eyes to see how far away they were, her eyes widened like saucers as a pair of blood red eyes were staring right back at her. A twisted smile made its way to the man's lips revealing his fangs. "Well well what do we have here little tree, Master will be happy to know I found his toy." She winced at the nickname that bastard had given her, Willow tree's where huge in size so to make her feel small he had started calling her little tree. Willow let out a sound that was crossed between a whimper and a cry as she turned and tried to make a run for it.

Before she could even take her third step she ran smack into the man who had used his speed to get in front of her, she cried out again and took off down the street hearing him laugh behind her. She tucked out into an alley way and looked around spotting a fairly large pipe on the ground not far from her, she quickly grabbed it and put her back against the wall waiting for him to get closer. He may have been hunting her for three days but the man was an idiot as he rounded the corner Willow wiped the smile off his face as she swung the pipe at his head. A sickening cracking sound could be heard as he cried out grabbing his nose and glaring at her. Willow stepped back holding the pipe out to him trying to keep him back as he backed her up to the end of the alley. "Your going to regret that little girl, anything could have happened to you out here. Like say you fell across a hungry vampire." That twisted smile never left his lips as he ripped the pipe out of her hands and wrapped his other hand around her throat pinning her to the wall. Tears escaped her eyes as he cut off her air and bared his fangs at her. "Let....me....go!" Willow started coughing and started thrashing around in his grip at a weak last attempt to get away from him.
