East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

Admittedly, it took Samantha a few moments behind the folding screen to calm herself down and contemplate exactly what she was putting her body in. Still, it seemed to be her only choice at the moment if she wanted answers, so she found herself stripping down and putting the dress on her thin frame. The dress revealed more skin than she'd ever thought she'd reveal - Samantha spent several moments attempting to tug it down further to cover up her skin to no avail - and it had the young fae feeling rather self-conscious about her pale skin and knobby knees. The woman - Nadya - hadn't given her different shoes to wear, so she found herself shoving her feet back into the converse. Even in the dress provided, Samantha was sure she would still manage to stick out like a sore thumb. Still, she let herself step out from behind the curtain, tucking a piece of her hair behind her pointed ear as she did so.

Samantha wasn't given time to ask how she looked - though she wasn't sure she really wanted the answer - before she was being ushered out from behind the stage and into the hubbub of the crowd. The swarm of emotions that the crowd was feeling seemed to rise up within her, and she was certain she would explode. She reached up, rubbing her temples in a feeble attempt to soothe the building headache, and tried her best to focus on what Nadya was saying to her. "I've never... I've never danced before." Or been around other fae, she wanted to add, but it seemed prudent that she keep that information to herself for the time being. "I can't promise I'd be anything other than an embarrassment to you." Though, admittedly, it was reassuring to know that she wouldn't have to show off more of her body than necessary if she did elect to do this.

She paused when Nadya did at the back of the bar, looking up at the stage and the girls that were doing their dance number. If there was anything that Samantha knew for certain at the moment, it was that she would never look that graceful up there. Still, Nadya didn't seem anything other than confident in Samantha, and it was that feeling that kept Samantha following the woman like a lost lamb. "Finn," She repeated dumbly, looking at the bartender and lifting her hand in a wave. Admittedly, it was hard for Samantha to focus on her surroundings. It felt all too much like she was drowning in the waves of emotion that the place contained. Even if she could get brave enough to get on that stage, could she perform feeling like this?

Samantha barely looked up at first at the gentleman that had interrupted her tour of the place. Stronger than the lust in the room was the distaste for the gentleman's presence that had taken over the young woman beside her. Still, Nadya's expression was nothing but polite as they spoke. It was clear to Sam by the way that he looked at the woman that there was something undoubtably shady about the man, but it wasn't until the man's attention turned on her that Samantha seemed to react at all. The lusty emotions that came off of him reminded her of bad cologne, clogging all of her senses and Samantha was sure that her distaste for the man was clear on her features. Since she'd become fae and her empathic abilities had made themselves known, Sam hadn't told a soul what she could do, and it seemed foolish to admit them to a complete stranger. Still, she couldn't help but be disgusted by Theon and his emotions. And she was fae, after all, and could hardly resist the opportunity to play with the man. Oh, what she wouldn't give to be able to hear exactly what he was thinking of her.

"Sounds interesting," Samantha said dryly, looking at her nails as though she were bored with the whole endeavor. "I wouldn't get yourself too excited, though. It doesn't seem as though Ms. Tetradore is too interested in your desire to exploit her women to further your own fantasies." She was walking a fine line, and Samantha certainly knew it. "I suppose you haven't revealed exactly how much you'd enjoy the films to her, have you?" Samantha looked up at him through her long lashes, smiling innocently. Of course, she couldn't tell exactly what the froward man was thinking, though it was easy enough to guess that she doubted that he'd call her bluff. "The decision is hers, of course, but I think perhaps you should tell her your real intentions about what you'd like to do to her dancers. Or, of course, I could tell her for you."
