East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth

The day was overcast for the most part but Sorcha had decided early in the morning that it would make for a perfect day for peddling her wares. Get a real job, her mother had said before in exasperation, but Sorcha didn't want to be like the millions of people who spent their life in and out of the same old building doing the same old thing. She loved making her potions and she loved more when they worked. Word of mouth was an amazing thing and slowly her stock was becoming a hot commodity. It wasn't like she hadn't worked hard enough promoting herself, squeezing into available spots on the sidewalks of the city to try and lure people in and always bolting before the police came to harass. You need to have a license to sell, they would say, and why should she have to give the city a portion of her income when it was barely enough to get her by half the time? Fools. There were some witches who went into areas like agriculture since they could manipulate the earth to give up it's bounty with ease, thus earning themselves an easy job, and while she loved the feel of the slum hum of the earth, she chose the city life instead and her potions.

Carefully she packed her over-sized backpack with vials and bottles, each hand marked with precise writing and placed in a way to prevent spillage. Mixing potions would be a costly mistake, although the majority of her brews were of a more benign kind. She follows through with tying her black hair back, mossy eyes narrowing as she tries to remember if she has everything before finally giving up and swinging the bag over her shoulder. It isn't far until she gets to the streets where vendors often set up shop (with their 'approved' licenses, of course) and she finds an open spot closer to an intersection. She had brought a fold-out table with her (small, of course) and with a sigh of relief sets it down.

Once she has everything set up the show begins in earnest, her killer smile bedazzling those who came too close as she asked them personal questions in her lyrical voice, luring them in and explaining what she could do to help them. She had learned not to say things in a way that seemed more favorable for her - only for them. How may I help you? Oh I can fix this for you... things that twisted a persons mind to falling for her tricks. All without using any sort of powers.

After an older couple leave with a few vials, made using age-old remedies from natural herbs to help arthritis, she spies a blond man heading past her booth. Immediately she scans him, looking for any hint of old injury, but discounts that quickly. Now she had to use her own skills at figuring others out - he was a man, and certainly a nice looking guy, maybe he was working his way up a corporate ladder somewhere? There are few people around to distract her so she sets her sights on Johnathen, stepping closer to his path with her wide smile. "Hello sir," she says to grab his attention, even if he couldn't be much more than a year or two older than herself. "Would you like to take a minute to see what I may be able to help you with? I have brews that can help with sinus problems, much better than Benadryl, I have heard," she adds in an amused manner, trying to get past any barriers that some normally threw up. "Or if you find yourself tired more often than you should, I can help with that as well."
