East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth

Honestly, what was with the rain lately? While achieving what she had thought impossible in a fairly simple procedure of show and tell, thereby securing her means to the cargo ship where illegal Were-fighting happened, she had lost some time to sell to those on the streets. You know, normal every-day humans who needed a little help to shave off a few pounds or to ease their aching muscles. She had even invented a potion of her own that would help those who claimed to have fibromyalgia and was determined to find someone who claimed to have it and wasn't addicted to some crazy ass pain pills to test out her theory. It was a running thing in her line of work to here excuses such as "no thanks, I already got that covered and my insurance doesn't cover things like this." As if she sold herself for ridiculous prices! Sorcha was a tried true believer that most things could be cured with a little bit of magic and a lot of herbal help - who needed ibuprofin when she could make a concoction in less than three minutes that would solve those aches and pains for a hell of a lot longer than a pill lasted.

But, in truth, all the rejections had helped sharpen her selling capabilities and she had begun to learn methods where she would 'seduce' the customer, as she called it. Some people just called it old fashioned entrepreneurship but to each their own. "If this herbal tea actually works, how come no one uses it anymore? Why wouldn't the doctor try to sell it to me?" An overweight woman asked, glaring at her as if she lied and Sorcha kept her smile pasted on, attentive despite all the other potential customers that passed her by because of this woman. "Your doctor probably knows very little about these medicinal practices, Ma'am. College doesn't force you to learn about it when they can just offer you a bottle of pain meds to cover up the actual problem or give you some synthetic drug. I can assure you that this will help lower your blood pressure and you don't have to worry about your liver failing in the future. How about I cut you a deal? I will give you half off as you are a new customer and my card along with it. Just try it for a few days in lieu of your medicine and if it doesn't work, I will give you the FULL value back. If it does work then you know how to reach me for more." Her voice is lyrical and her mother always told her that their magic seemed to have just seeped into her. The woman considers her before nodding slowly before pulling her raggedy purse from her shoulder and shoving a few bills in Sorcha's hand before scooping up the thick vial of red liquid.

The deal done, Sorcha prepares to begin her hawking again when a sudden patter of rain begins. Her brows slam down and she scowls, immediately packing away all her vials into her favorite burlap backpack since she had sewn patches over the holes Tobias had placed in it when he carried it around in his teeth as a leopard. She had used it as an excuse to add extra pouches inside as well, careful to pad everything so it wouldn't jostle and break. The table that was set up on the street was not her own, one that was often used by other sellers but was left out as a first come first serve basis (although a permit was usually required, she often shirked that duty). With a sigh of displeasure, knowing no more sales would occur until the rain stopped, she decided to go to a local coffee shop a few blocks over. A little rain didn't bother her but other people seemed to dislike it - she found it refreshing even if it made her hair curl as it dried in a rather unkempt manner.

She walks leisurely down the sidewalk, mossy green eyes blinking water out of the way a few times and hand brushing back a piece of black hair that was plastered to her face, and she turns down a familiar alleyway when voices catch her attention, gaze focusing on them. A group of kids stand over a man who was on his knees on the ground. If she was seeing right he also had blood on his face, although she could only see his profile as he looked between them. It was... probably safer to turn back but Sorcha was never one who could stand by while others were getting hurt. It didn't matter that she could easily heal this guy with a touch of her hands, she couldn't heal herself, a strange phenomenon that meant she had to be careful in circumstances. Still, there was no turning around now as they caught sight of her with fierce glares, and she walks towards them with more purpose in her step.

She knew a little self defense and as she walks towards them her mind is replaying it all, preparing itself as she comes to a halt a little behind Booker at his shoulder. She notes in a quick flash the glass that is curled in his palm, hidden from view of the others, and her heart constricts - god, she hoped he didn't go nuts and kill everyone here. "I suggest you all head on back the way you came. I alerted a patrolman only a few moments ago and he will be here soon. I doubt any of you would like assault on your record." Her voice, melodious as it is, is firm and a just a bit cajoling, trying to diffuse the tension as a hand slowly reaches down to touch Bookers shoulder in an outward sign of support that did not go unnoticed by the Gothic boy. In fact, she was almost certain that he would not let this go so easily and her bag slid down her other arm slowly as she gently lowered it to the ground.

As unfortunate as it was it didn't seem that they were going to leave, even if some of the other ones seemed uneasy and she couldn't fight them ALL. Not unless she wanted a few bruises of her own and so with a regretful sigh as the Goth stepped forward with intent, she begins to chant in Latin. "pluvia veniant veloce exsequere adeo verum est, ostenderet quid est adgressus funestam hanc haedos!" (rain come swift, your aim so true, show these kids what it is to rue), a simple rhyme she had made up, and within moments the rain suddenly fell hard and the wind picked up, pelting the cold water like needles into their skin. But it did not fall in such a way around her or Booker, her hand still clasped on his shoulder and forgotten there.

The kids began to scream at each other, covering their faces with hands as they stumbled back, eyes widening as they realized that this wasn't happening to her or the human she was helping, and maybe that would seal the deal and they would leave.

(Hahaha, I'll leave it up to you to see what happens, if they leave or not ^_^ also, as you see, I got carried away haha, your post was just too good!)
