East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Isolt's growing agitation with the situation is not lost on me but I don't know how else to be with it comes to another domineering male figure on MY turf. I am just as proud of Red on the Water as she is so to see the Council trying to use it as a stomping ground for some kind of claim of power over my kind is more than irritating; it's infuriating. So for me to hold my tongue and my inclinations to simply rip his throat out should be a cause for celebration in itself. I'm actually doing quite well with my manners at the moment. I scowl and furrow my brows at her outburst anyway, As she turns to walk away, I reach out for her wrist but fall short. "Isolt, wait..." I try, my voice softening as it only does for her but then she's gone, heading out to do who knows what and I'm left scratching my head and sighing heavily as I watch the doorway she just left through. Should I go after her? I glance over my shoulder. And leave Azrael all alone in my pub? No thanks, I'll pass. Besides, she'll be back.

And so I turn back to the hunter, scowling at his comment about Isolt. "First off, not my girlfriend, not yet anyway. Second off, I'm not your servant so I'll go when I want to." Just to show him, I lean against the doorframe and cross my arms stubbornly, eying him daringly since we both know he's too drunk to do much right now anyway. I can practically watch him sway where he stands. But just as I'm about to give in and start the tour myself anyway, I hear a feminine tone and I raise a brow, turning my head to take in the mysterious witch in all her grandeur. My eyes narrow in puzzlement, not so used to seeing her in here. Have I ever seen the black haired witch in here before? Not that I remember. When I glance toward the hunter though, I'm oddly satisfied to see him looking so uncertain. It's pretty obvious to see that he's stuck between his affections for the witch and trying to hide those emotions from the likes of me. It's quite amusing. My brow rises, eyes glowing with humor as my lip crinkles into a smirk.

He stutters over his words, not making any sense and it's all I can do not to laugh. He leans back against the bar, apparently trying to use it as a crutch while seemingly looking cool at the same time. Such a me thing to do and he's totally ruining it. But he catches onto something, questioning the witch now with a hint of suspicion and I flick my gaze back to the witch in curiosity. Could he be onto something? My eyes narrow, as if I can see right through the illusion if I try but of course I don't have that power. Even so, I find my own suspicion aroused at his words. He's drunk and mystified by the witch so why else would he be asking her questions unless he's really onto something. Then he asks why she's here, hesitating over her name like it's almost foreign to him or something. Now my curiosity is really peaked. I turn my attention back to the witch, waiting for her response.
