East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

One of those days where she was doing something for herself and not on some errand for Frost. She still wasn't sure if he actually needed the requested items or if he just wanted her away from the house for a bit or to get her exploring. She'd stop eventually, maybe, but probably not. It made her feel important when she was sent on her 'missions' and today had been no exception. She had given herself her own mission, a successful trip to the market. While she had avoided the escalators and it had taken her a good ten minutes to get inside she was fairly confident that she had been able to do it with minimal fuss.

That is, until one of the young men had told her she couldn't leave the lot with the cart and she'd decided that she'd stare him down because there was no way she was going to carry it all. That was absurd. It may have even made her proud that the young man had turned and fled from her gaze, she wasn't sure what she had done to make him flee but she found that it gave her quite a bit of power. She liked this. She would probably never feel it again. She was not meant to feel power, she was meant to support others who were meant to wield it.

Movement to her right startled her but it had only been a cat streaking out from an alleyway away from some sudden sound. She had decided to dress nicely today, a form fitting dress that flared out around the hips in a sudden burst of red. She liked this shopping thing, if only because she was allowed to pick out clothing that she liked and that flattered her body. Her hair was twisted up into a knot at the nape of her neck, golden strands slipping down to frame her bright blue eyes. Her fingers were wrapped tightly around the end of the shopping cart, pulling it down the street behind her and ignoring the looks that the majority of people were giving her.

She had been fully prepared to wheel her cart around the young man who stood on the sidewalk, taking up quite a bit of it too mind you. However, her black flat slid on an errant piece of paper, the traction on the shoes doing nothing to save her from pitching forward. She released the cart, lest she take it with her as she fell forward, instinctively she threw up her hands, colliding with solid warmth. "Oh!" She exclaims before she could regain her balance, "I am so sorry." The first thing she noticed was that he was like her, a Were and that seemed to put her in a much better mood.
