East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth

While Sorcha likes to pretend she knows most everything that goes on, and she does know quite a bit, there are still facets of life she has no clue about. She hadn't met many vampires in her life and in truth did not look for them. They were a shadow in the back of her head in much the same way hunters were, a thing that existed but was for the most part hidden. Vampires didn't much care for others to know of their existence mainly due to their unsavory need for blood. Sorcha didn't quite have an opinion on it yet anyways. It was a touchy topic - they needed it to survive and yet the idea is revolting at the same time. She was a witch though so who was she to judge? All supernatural creatures were considered abominations by the hunters so they were all in this life together. What she does not know is that this place caters to said supernaturals for she was quite apart from that sort of scene excepting her time spent aboard the Ark with the Were's.

The male next to her seems relaxed, at ease in this environment, and she adopts the same sort of slouched feeling as she smiles prettily at the bartender, asking merely for a coke and a cheeseburger with fries. Sometimes the simple things in life were the most pleasing. Food and company, no alcohol needed, and this guy didn't seem opposed to her conversation starter. If he had merely nodded and smiled she would have left him be - some people did come to the bar to get away from the crowd. Instead he answers back and she grins at him saucily. "Kilt clan I am," she answers with a laugh, grabbing the cold glass of dark liquid the moment the bartender sets it down, giving him a thank you and a smile before sipping it. Manners - they are what makes up a person.

His large hand reaches out for her own and she slips her slender one in, gripping firmly and shaking. "Sorcha and indeed I did. One of the best places around here from what I've heard." She would be the judge of that, eager for the cook to finish her food as her belly grumbles in sudden protest. It does not embarrass her though, just makes her give a conspiratorial grin to her companion. "What about you, Erik? Here for the food or is your drink satisfying enough?" She gestures to the drink she cannot see considering his large hand is wrapped around it, assuming it is an alcoholic beverage even if Erik does not realize that is what she means. That is the thing about the paranormal, you have to watch what you say.
