The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
Amaya was staring down the straw of her third Mojito and she couldn't tell if she had stopped spinning the cubes or if they were just doing so on their own accord. The two shots and the first Mojito she had hit her hard just as she had been slurping down the second drink the bartender had given her in pity. At that point she had felt the desire to stand and dance in the crowd, as would have been her natural inclination. In the company though, the level of alcohol in her system stopped relaxing her around the vampires and had instead twisted to petrify her on her barstool. So instead she sat, trying not to think about the weird vibes and messages that had been sent to her that night by her first dance partner. Shaking her head, and instantly regretting it, she pushed the thoughts from her mind. Just because she had fun and had her fun suddenly and unexpectedly ended did not mean she could not try to find fun again. But the press of the soulless creatures around her was nearly suffocating. Determined, she took another sip of the minty drink and stood to look to the dance floor, desperate to see if there was anything that could take her mind off the suppressing feeling that was surrounding her. Just as she stood and turned a woman ran into her, spilling her drink over her outfit. Instinctively through dance training as well as manners, she also reached out to grab and steady the stumbling woman, her muscles automatically knowing how to stabilize both of them even if her mind could not make the room stop zooming. There was a spark, not the electrifying sizzle that had happened between her and Oleander just earlier that evening, but still a connection. Brown eyes met the mossy green in a mirroring search for the same answers. A slow smile spread over her pierced lip when a recognition poked through her intoxication. "My, my, I just seem to be meeting all the pretty witches today." She said before she could stop herself. A cringe of apology and her hand went up to her face, as if she could wipe off what she had just said, or at least banish her drunken shame. "I'm sorry. Forget I said that." Not looking, she put her drink back on the counter and took the offered hand after wiping off the water condensation. "I'm Amaya, pleasure to meet you. I promise I'm not usually this drunk." |
