It was her outfit, truly, that seemed to hold his attention in those final few moments of her dance. What could be seen of his violet gaze made no effort to hurry the manner in which they traced each curve and swell of her form until he reached the black marked hand-prints that seemed to grasp at her chest and rear in an almost playfully suggestive manner that managed to tease the barest of chuckles from the man. A bold outfit, to be sure and yet one that seemed to suit the young woman all the same as his slowly offered clap announced both his presence and his momentary appreciation for the spectacle before him. The roll of her eyes at his suggestion of another earned the barest of quirks to his lip before she moved to oblige. It was rare, truly, for the equine to display any emotion outside of indifference. Even when it came to women the man rarely seemed to hold any real interest, Nadya's own employees, scantily clad in their own outfits- failed to rouse within him any sense of desire, his gaze merely resting bluntly upon them and yet Nadya herself, time and again, seemed to achieve his focus as the majority of women in this city failed to do. He has, after all, forever been....particular in his own tastes. It was unfortunate, truly, that such a pretty girl was in possession of such disagreeable blood, or at least, related to it in the form of Tetradore. His scowls briefly at the thought, dismissing it readily for now however as he returns his attention to the woman, each of her movements smooth and supple- a credit to her feline tendencies perhaps.
The sudden addition of her voice to the act however, seemed to earn the woman another rarely seen flicker of surprise, the man inclined to admit her lyrics were hardly unpleasant- indeed, she was well suited for her chosen career in far more than one aspect, her hands sweeping to grasp a top hat as she continued across the stage. She truly was an intriguing woman, in far more ways then one, why she allowed herself to be so under-appreciated he hardly knew and yet he is inclined to believe, under different circumstances, were she truly content with her lot she would live on that....boat with the rest of them, her children in tow. Though once more he hardly cared to think on it now, his gaze still resting softly upon her, having been surprised at all she had given in to his request rather than off some jab or sarcastic response as he had anticipated. Her dancing form seems to come closer and closer still, Frost content to remain within his chair all the same, the design of her outfit only clearer to him now, amusing really, as the very heat of her body seems almost tangible with her proximity, the man finding he hardly regrets having kissed her that night, even if his normally highly restrained desires had been given something of a push by her own abilities. It was her, after all, that had allowed him to discover his own. How easy it would be to repeat-
The sudden end to the song registered itself within his mind, her words along with it, his own eyes rolling slightly now- the girl evidently having become well aware that his 'visits' were usually constructed around his desire for something in one form or another. Whatever answer he may have offered however, was abruptly halted by a hat being tossed at him rather forcefully, her own words holding a bite he had yet to truly hear from her. Hmm. He supposed he had expected this conversation eventually, although truly it was a shame to have ruined such a pleasant beginning to the evening- his lip quirking ever so briefly upward at a new understanding though one he sees no true need to voice. It was clever, he supposed, to back into the conversation as she had. Perhaps she was deserving of even more credit in that regard. That matter of her brother, Raven and that evening some weeks ago had been one he had long since prepared to discuss. His shoulders lift slightly, rolling in a non-committal shrug of sorts that display what is evidently very little concern for her words.
"Your brother- has a very fanciful imagination if that is what he told you."
His arms simply move to lift, folding behind his head as he leans back within the chair, leaving the top hat to rest upon his chest as his gaze returns to Nadya now.
"Did he tell you, Naja, exactly what occurred that night, or did he merely decide to tell you I had made some sort of declaration regarding you and your children?"
One eye lifts, ever so slightly, awaiting some response from the woman whom had evidently decided her brother's word was infallible in all regards. Was she truly this connected to her sibling that she was blind to him? His own task would be decidedly more difficult then he had anticipated if this was case.
"I was in the West that night and I did argue with your brother, I see no need in denying it. It was however, not as he would make it seem, though I assume he neglected to tell you what actually happened, then again, he himself does not know most of it so he hardly has right to speak of it."
He pauses again, briefly, allowing the panther to take whatever she desired from his words. Tetradore had, after all, be absent for near the entirety of the evening and truly the equine hardly sees how the other mans apparent statement held any true grounding at all- siblings however, were often so unwilling to see anything negative in each other.
"Myself and an acquaintance of mine, Alexis, I assume you know her as your pack seemed to, were upon the west side, near the warehouses, we were talking and nothing else. I was in your pack's territory and yet so were at least fifty or so other Were's moving to and from the Ark your sibling runs. I had no pack with me, could hardly be mistaken for attempting some sort of invasion of his lands and yet for some reason that ridiculous wolf- Raven I believe she is called, demanded I remove myself from the territory and cease talking to Alexis."
His words remain cool, smooth, clearly spoken and yet each word is offered with distinct purpose all the same. Frost, after all, rarely speaks without reason, though his own features frowned momentarily at the memory of the wolf.
"Both myself and Alexis asked her to leave, merely find the fox and she will confirm my words entirely. Raven was asked to leave and yet she continued to claim we were forbidden upon the west side territory. Evidently she is prone to being weak of mind, else given to fall to her animal instincts as she then attempted to attack me. She attacked first Naja, I threw her into a wall, I don't deny it and yet I did nothing further other then tell her to leave once more. She further displayed her stupidity by attacking me a second time. You understand, I am sure, your blood is as mine- we are of Alpha lines, to be disrespected by a subordinate is....displeasing- what would you have done had she come at you a second time with teeth and claws and powers?"
He pauses barely a moment to allow her to consider her own actions were she in his position, was it truly hard for her to believe Raven would so violently attack a second time. Of course not- he had seen the woman give in to her feral nature the night of the party. She was prone to such things.
"I injured her, perhaps too much, though my animal form is over sixteen hundred pounds, even I underestimate my own strength sometimes and some of it is instinctual. I am a horse, at the end of the day, she is a wolf, a predator- I responded accordingly. I did however, take her back to your brother and her home, she needed medical treatment after all. Instead of asking what had occurred however, your brother seemed to believe lunging at me in his panther form was an appropriate course of action. I had, by this point in time, lost my patience with much of your pack and your brother and I argued. His claws sliced my back leg, I rendered him airborne for his troubles. I asked him why he was continuing to fight me when his wolf clearly needed aid- evidently he had no answer, for she apparently means little to him, I asked them whether you would mean more to him. Would he have put his pride aside for you? Though again he had no answer so I cannot confirm it for you. He stopped only when Alexis put her shields between us and the spotted one attempted to shoot me with some sort of harpoon gun. He would die for your brother, that one. Regardless as you can imagine my mood was hardly, pleasant- I told him to keep his pack within his sights or I would return them to him in the same fashion as I returned Raven."
He manages a sigh of sorts.
"I see that there was an implication, of sorts, that you were included in that though I intended such a threat applied only to those living with him in the ark- that ridiculous wolf and the spotty fellow. I never said the word 'kill' nor did I mention you or your children. Do you truly believe, Naja, after I said to you, with your daughter in my arms, that I would not harm your offspring- that I lied?"
He has, indeed, offered her no lies this evening, his words wholly true and yet perhaps...carefully placed with only one true detail slightly and smoothly omitted in regards to what he and Alexis had been discussing and yet perhaps, it hardly mattered all the same. Raven had attacked him first- on two occasions, Tetradore had done the same, Alexis a witness to both. He himself had failed to spill first blood on either account and therein lay his own innocence- or seemingly so.
"I have not lied to you, though I believe your brother has. I suppose he is simply trying to protect you, he does love you- I think. Though evidently he does not trust your judgement or ability to make your own decisions on who you should spend your time with."
Why else would Tetradore have offered Nadya that information in regards to that night unless he was seeking to keep her away from the equine? If Nadya sought further proof of the night she need only speak to Alexis- a being Frost is sure will not speak against him. Indeed, Raven could not deny she had attacked first on both occasions, nor could Tetradore, who had failed to find out what the argument was about in the first place before attacking. Indeed the only beings whom might argue Frost's own words were a wolf prone to becoming feral and a deranged spotted lunatic- neither credible sources. Perhaps he should have been a fox rather than a stallion- he truly is cunning when he chooses to be. His case, after all, is very near air-tight.
