East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Vienna stood across from the young woman, looking down at her while she waited for the other to recognize that she was talking to her. It seemed to take an eternity and Vienna was getting impatient. She didn't have all day to try to compliment a woman who was otherwise uncomplimentable (yes, that was her own made-up word). And finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the young woman finally looked up at and propositioned her to taste her to see if the smell matched the flavor. While most vampires might jump at the offer, Vienna did not. She was rather picky when it came to her meals and although the girl smelled lovely, she could have eaten barriers today...and Vienna couldn't take that chance. After all, she wasn't ready to die.

However, before Vienna could even decline such a generous offer, the girl was taking back her offer. It was fear, Vienna could smell that too. It always amazed her that so many people were scared of vampires. Most people, it seemed, believed vampires were here to kill or turn. Some could be friendly and sociable. Vienna was one of those. While she didn't have a bad bone in her body, she did have a tendency to talk so much it made you want to jump off a cliff.

Rolling her eyes ever so slightly at the girl, she shook her head and brushed the hair back from her face. After all, if she was going to reject someone, she was going to do it in style. "Sorry, tuts, I don't go around biting everyone in the city. I'm picky about my food." Which was very, very true. After all, this explained why she paid a young woman thousands of dollars a week to eat oranges for every meal, avoid any type of berry, and be exclusively hers. She never drained the girl and gave her ample time between feeds to rebuild her supply. Vienna may look rather slow, but she was not about to let her favorite meal wither away. If the food supply was kept healthy, she would be healthy in return.

The only other time Vienna ever bit anyway was in the throws of passion. It was when she was so filled with lust that she would bite...as a second orgasm for her. It was sensual and Vienna enjoyed it. However, considering that she just met this woman, she wasn't going to be orgasming with her any time soon. So she got lucky...no bites today.

Vienna looked down at the stack of papers next to the girl and wondered what on earth she was working on. The sun was already setting and there was very little natural light still left. All that lit her papers was the light of the mood and the meager light that the streetlamps put out. Even still, it wasn't enough light to be working in. She was going to hurt her eyes. "You know, you should probably go inside to work. There's not enough light out here. You're going to hurt your eyes." Vienna didn't really care if the suggestion was out of line. She needed someone to tell her straight and Vienna was not about to coddle her. "The name's Vienna, by the way." There. Introductions were done.
