East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

The vampire's quite blatant need was surely mirrored within his husky lyrics, his English voice longing for the taste of the fae's blood. Sebastian hadn't put much thought on how Darien might receive such knowledge of how utterly delectable he was. He hadn't anticipated the surge of assurance that those simple words had given the fae and yet, the results of it were hardly unwanted. Sebastian felt Darien pull him closer and without complaint Sebastian fell into his embrace. He felt the boy's fingers wrap around his neck and in return Sebastian's long, slender fingers reached out to cup Darien's face within his hands, allowing his lips to once again brush against the fae's in a show of hardly restrained fervor. It was undeniable for the vampire, this magnetism, this want, this need. His lack of control was astonishing to him. So often the man strove to keep his animalistic urges in tact - to be more human then his maker was. To feel himself crumbling to those feral urges made him almost sick to his stomach. It was that realization, that dislike for what he'd become and the budding fondness for the fae that so embraced him that caused Sebastian to pull away when every facet of his body - both human and monster wanted otherwise.

Slowly, Sebastian pulled out an ivory handkerchief from his pocket, handing it to Darien before woefully admitting that the possibility of Darien's death at his hands was a reality that they both not only needed to acknowledge but also avoid at all costs. He'd thought that Darien would understand the implications of this - he thought that maybe Darien would realize that in the short time they'd come to know each other, Sebastian saw some chemistry that he didn't want to destroy. It would have been so easy to take Darien home - to bed him and drink from him in the way he so usually did and yet, something had made him hesitate. He was curious of the fae beyond what he could get from the man tonight. It was an emotion that didn't often tug at him and one that he, for some ridiculous reason, wanted to last. After all, he was quite steadfast in the belief that if it wasn't for his abilities, Darien wouldn't be here at all. The centuries had taught him little reason to believe otherwise.

The corner of his lips twitched downwards at the sound of Darien's begging, feeling the sensation of those rapid kisses upon his lips. A soft sigh left his lips, momentarily torn upon what he wanted and what he should do. He felt the boy's fingers entangle in his dirty blond locks, just as his crystalline gaze too watched the fashion at which he held onto the handkerchief he'd been given. He watched as Darien looked away, his gaze unwilling to meet Sebastian's as the resolve slowly set in. Slowly, Sebastian nodded before speaking softly, "If you want to..." His voice trailed off before he started again. "it's for your nose, Darien. The smell of your blood is my undoing." His gaze remained all too steadfast upon the man, quickly realizing that Darien was hardly even listening at all. Gingerly, Sebastian took Darien's hand within his, raising the boy's fingers with the pristine handkerchief to the boy's nose himself, even though he'd rather have the blood in his mouth then lost upon the ivory material.

He watched as Darien inhaled, clearly steeling himself for whatever words Sebastian would utter next and yet the vampire could hardly miss the pleading look upon the man's features. Another sigh left his lips, this time Sebastian glancing away before back again. His head shook ever so slightly, his voice holding a subtle display of humor, "I can't say no to you, just promise me you'll stop looking at me like I stole your favorite candy." It was dreadfully true, Sebastian found, Darien's imploring had a way of dissolving whatever willpower that Sebastian had. He seemed so distressed and so much of Sebastian's life thus far had been dedicated to pleasing those that occupied his time in whatever fashion necessary.

Sebastian's gaze deliberately shifted towards the fallen businessman, his nose all too easily smelling the blood that had pooled from the holes he'd left in the man's wrist. Instinctively he knew he was fully capable of draining every ounce from the man's blood stream. Just as he too was aware that his friends hardly posed a threat - perhaps as much of a food source as the fallen antagonizer himself. It was hard to turn himself away from such an easy prey. "I can't stay here though, with them..." He spoke in a hushed tone, even though his thoughts lingered entirely upon the feast he was trying to restrain himself from. It was dangerous to say here - both for them and for himself. With a flick of his wrist, Sebastian gestured down the street, "I live a few blocks north of here." Although it was entirely against his protocol to take anyone to his home, it was perhaps better than any of the alternatives. Besides, he was already giving into every of Darien's whims, what was one more? Gingerly, Sebastian took Darien's hand within his, his fingers interlacing within the man's as he pulled his gaze from the businessmen.
