East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

In truth, the gentle touches of her fingertips were altogether unfamiliar for the man. It was so rare that anyone even dared to get close enough to him and the feeling of hands upon his skin had for so long brought nothing more than pain that to find pleasure in even the smallest of brushes was an astounding new development for the man. Nevertheless, his emerald eyes remained steadfast upon the fae across from him, watching the fashion at which her cheeks turned a noticeable shade of crimson. There was a small, smug twitch of his lips in satisfaction that he was able to coax such an emotion from the young woman. Certainly she'd expressed her interest within him but there was something entirely pleasing that knowing one look might have such a reaction on Samantha. Despite this, Tetradore hardly allowed himself to get distracted by their unexpected magnetism. It was imperative that she learned the difference between the species if he was going to care for her in any fashion. He had to know she would be okay out of his sight. It was nearly peculiar of him to worry over someone nearly as fast as he was...but she seemed to be entirely unique.

He watched the way in which her eyes flickered close, clearly trying to concentrate on the hunter that he could so easily sense. For Tetradore, the supernatural were like brightly lit candles in a sea of darkness. He simply knew of their existence, their presence, their closeness. He wasn't sure why he was so easily able to pick them out - it wasn't as if any of his capabilities assisted in that endeavor like hers did. Maybe it was simply his exposure to them over the years at his mistress's side. Regardless, Tetradore fully expected for the young woman to become as astute as he on the topic, a small frown crossing his lips when she finally opened her eyes only to offer him a response he didn't want to hear. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, considering this new information she'd provided him with. It was hardly the worst situation but he disliked the notion of how close she had to be before recognizing trouble was brewing.

The sensation of her lips brushing across his drew his attention back towards her, a small simper was given towards her in return as Samantha resettled in her seat. His striking emerald eyes slowly shifted towards the group of girls that she'd pointed out, his head tilting to the side ever so slightly as he listened to her. Despite the man's silence on the topic, he could quite literally feel the fear that rolled off of her at the mention of her fae brethren. After all, fear was very much within his realm to manipulate. It called to him and so often his powers rushed to answer - except for this time. "Not all of your species is like the one who changed you." He mused softly, picking up his mug to sip on the still warm coffee.

Tetradore's gaze glanced upwards from his coffee at the sound of his first name. The syllables alone sounded foreign to him - so few called him by that word and even then it had been years since he'd heard it. He hardly commented on it though, instead offering the woman a small nod as Samantha promised she would make ever effort if only so that they could be together. The man shrugged ever so slightly at her inquiry, "Sure." He responded simply. Emotions weren't things he discussed, much less his likes and wants. He'd learned long ago that they could be used against him and so instead, all the man had to offer her was that same air of poised apathy.
