The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Nadya wasn't one to allow someone to lead her along like a child but in this instance there was an exception since without Sam pulling her through the store she wouldn't have made it. There was that churning within her that felt like she was standing under a plane, the engines roaring in her ears blocking out the world around her. Nadya barely heard Amanda over the chaos in her mind and moved sluggishly handing over the card. Though the infants despair at the mother's lack of response to its earlier fussing caused it to quickly escalate to something that no one could ignore.
Never before had Nadya allowed her Were side to be seen by Amanda or really by anyone else she worked with. That part of her life was kept separate from her nonsupernatural relationships. Not only that but Nadya despised being naked in public. While nudity wasn't a big deal between Weres, there were plenty nonWeres who Nadya didn't care to be setting eyes on her. It was distasteful-- besides, she owned plenty of clothes for there to be no excuse to be unclothed. It was that same fear, not wanting to have to strip in the middle of the store, that urged Nadya to attempt an escape outside. The change came fast, bones snapping loudly like a firecracker as the beast broke through that last thread of control she had been using to supress it.
Amanda stood shocked, eyes wide in fright, either not registering or caring that Sam grabbed Nadya's things and took off after the volatile beast, leaving the shredded clothes behind without a care. Outside under the bright warm rays of the sun, the panther paced, spitting hisses at the nearby pedestrians, swiping at them with her heavy paws causing them to scatter. It was rather disorientating, the beasts brain fighting to be in control of the human which had gotten them in this situation in the first place with its tidal wave of emotions. Nadya was in the middle of glowering at a retreating couple when Sam came upon her, rather suddenly gaining her attention by placing her hand upon the agitated animal.
Her whole body pivoted around, quite ready to swat at the newcomer who dared to touch her. However, Sam's saving grace perhaps was the very fact that she had changed into her street clothes...the very ones that had Aidens scent on them. In her feline form her senses were much more heightened and readily picked up Aidens scent, her brother, her alpha. The anger suppressed slightly, forcing the agitated hisses she had been directing at others to a simple grumbling that reverberated in her chest and allowed her to focus once more. Nadya's ears peeled themselves from against her skull to perk back up in attention, pressing forward to butt the top of her head against Sam as a soft chuff escaped her. The shopping district security had been alerted to the volatile creature outside the ritzy clothes store and was now approaching the pair. Nadya, having calmed, recognizing Sam and the pack scent on her, was curling her form around the young woman when she noted the armed men. Her keen golden gaze fixated upon them, her form stilling around Sam, the deep purr in her chest breaking in irritation as her tail twitched up against Sam's side. "Does that belong to you?" One of them questioned Sam, nodding to the panther pressed so possessively against her. "We got called for an out of control animal. Do we have a problem here?" The more the man spoke, the more Nadya's body tensed, her pure muscled body tight in preparation to attack should the men not back down.
