East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He could feel it - as if no time at all had passed between now and that fateful night nearly two years ago. It was the sensation of her power coursing through his veins till every movement became a proverbial fight. In that singular moment, nothing else he had achieved mattered. The family he had built, the status he had taken within his pack, the powers he had all acquired, they had all been brushed away with a singular flick of her wrist, his will crushed by her insurmountable influence and slowly, his prowling gait before the auburn vampire came to an utter hault. His gaze swiveled towards the vampire behind him, his emerald eyes all too aware of the change that had too occurred within his companion. It had been years since he'd seen the timid female so utterly broken and vulnerable, bringing that icy grip of regret once again into his heart. This was all his fault - the same way that it always had been. He had been naive to think otherwise. Unfortunately, the man was hardly permitted to long let his gaze linger upon her, his head turning against his will to stare into the depths of his mistress' soulless eyes as she proclaimed that they had been missed with such a saccharine sweet voice that it made his skin crawl.

Innately, he knew what would come next. After all, he had spent years within the grasp of the vampire woman, he had spent more of his life in her halls then he had without. Whatever punishment she doled out here would hardly compare to what would come later - when the pair had been dragged back into the depths of her depravity. His emerald eyes darted towards the figures that emerged from the darkness, the silver glint from the accompanying collars glistened under the dim lights of the tavern. The presence of his own infernal device hardly resulted in a reaction for the ebony feline, having long since become used to the silver prongs that poked and prodded into his neck. It was those delicate chains of silver that flowed so effortlessly with the black laced necklace that kept the entirety of his gaze - or at least as much of it as he could before it too was out of his vision as the lumbering gentleman approached the female behind him. His own movements, however, were largely sluggish at best, his head unable to shift to repel the onslaught of the gentleman or the open leather collar in his hands. His own saliva began to foam at his mouth, bringing with it the acidic smell of death and yet. The fellow was all too smart to avoid his parted maw, fastening the leather straps with a decidedly uncomfortable tightness.

A low growl reverberated deeply within his ebony chest as the man's hand came to rest on his neck, yanking upwards on the collar to ensure it was tightly secure. He could feel the metal bits cutting into his neck and yet, he didn't care. Quite on the contrary, his ears lay flat against his head, listening intently for the footsteps of the other gentleman, waiting until just the right moment. He would only get one shot at this. Once upon a time, he'd made a promise to himself to watch over her. He'd known, in some measure, that Risque would come back for him and he swore to keep Isolt at least out of the vampire's grasp - it was a mission he fully intended to see through. If nothing else, if no one else, he would ensure she escaped alive. He heard the man stop in front of the young woman, he heard the jingle of the chained necklace as the thug raised it -- and then he vanished. Or rather, to be more precise, Tetradore teleported. For a brief moment, he was simply gone, the surprise quite present on even the pallid features of Risque before the man reappeared with her thug by his side...two feet above the man in front of Isolt.

Gravity took ahold of the beast and his "friend". His claws were outstretched, his mouth parted with his jaws gaping open all two hundred and fifty pounds of the beast came crashing down. The trio of men collided into the group with a reverberating thud. His claws dug into the man, the silver and lace necklace going flying as his mouth encircled the man's neck, biting down hard before he felt Risque's control once again rushing into him. He could feel the warmth of blood fill his mouth, matting his fur in dark crimson as his own goon fell flat on the floor out his side. His head shook from side to side, thrashing and tearing the fellow's throat until his mistress once again had him under control. Her man's head slowly was released from his grasp, Tetradore's body moving against his will as he slowly crawled off the fallen fellow, sitting with his tail wrapped around him in a picturesque scene of perfection. Risque glanced behind her, a scowl of discontent settled on her features and slowly, four more men and two other felines emerged from behind her, ready to give into her will.

It was hardly surprising, of course. The woman had been gone long enough. She had spent her time wisely, rebuilding her army before coming after her prized possessions. Unfortunately, her affinity for his kind made it difficult for him to fight them off on his own and slowly his emerald gaze turned towards his companion, staring at the auburn haired female with a desperate need for her assistance. As much as he hated to admit it - Tetradore couldn't do this alone, not when he had but seconds between his ability to vanish and reappear before she once again took a hold of him.
