The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The fact that Tobias really didn't understand the implications of what had just happened was made clear in his behavior. "Just don't tell him, he wouldn't understand." It would have been too much effort and take too much brain power to lamens down everything in order to explain it for him. And Tobias wasn't exactly giving her brain the time to think either, reappearing at her side to contently press his body against hers, washing away her logical thought as his teeth nipped at her ear. It was a strange struggle of emotions, enjoying the intimate touch, her body readily reacting to it, but also disliking that his actions could cause that in her. Her attention shifted slowly with his to eye the clothing in the pool before a streak of blue passed by them, causing Nadya to jump back, not used to being so out of it that she was unaware of her surroundings giving a stranger the time to sneak up on them. The human's shouts caused Nadya's lip to twitch in anger, a sort of scoffing growl coming from her as she backed up to place Tobias more securely in front of her, finding herself caring very little if he mauled this particular one since the human had started it first.
Nadya was actually surprised when Tobias backed down, deciding flight was more beneficial than fight, and also a little disappointed that she didn't get to see a human being taught a lesson for calling them half-breeds. He was right to do so though, her hand clasped firmly in his as he led the way across the rooftop away from the sounds of the approaching security and into the other entrance of the hotel. Nadya had spent only two nights in this hotel so while she could tell you when the continental breakfast was served or what channel Fox was on, she didn't know all the nooks and crannies of closets that would have come in handy at a time like this. The best way unfortunately was going to be taking over a room from someone. The barest hint of grumbling took her mind as she thought of that sunken key card in the pool; it would have been so easy to show up and let Tobias overthrow the room from that human man.
It was a blessing for them but a curse for the older woman to be the unlucky individual out in the hallway during their escape. The woman's shrill scream made Nadya wince, her sensitive ears ringing, her grip on Tobias' hand tightening as she fought the urge to just keep running. She could only assume from such a reaction that she and Tobias looked like they had been mauled by bears, but yet didn't feel it was still necessary to reach that octave...or for Tobias to in turn maul her for it. She kept a hold of his hand but quickly stepped in front of him to block the older woman, "No, Tobias, please don't hurt her. We can find another room." Her tired and half-pleading gaze looked up at the man, all for someone who picks a fight or calls her species anything deragatory to get mauled, but she didn't want innocents getting caught by Tobias' moods. However, the pheromones that had been hanging around Nadya keeping Tobias close and concerned enough to keep her safe, wrapped around the older woman causing her frightened scream to cease and turn to a look of immediate concern to Nadya. "Oh, deary, look at you...you need a doctor!" The old woman suddenly approached Nadya, the space already rather limited for Nadya's liking, turning her mind from trying to save Tobias from the woman to saving herself from the woman. Her hand jerked out from Tobias' grip as she startled back from the woman, throwing her hands up in defense to keep signal for the woman to keep at bay, fear flooding her system from the drastic change in the stranger.
The fear caused another reaction, a split and sudden decision on part of the manipulation of the air around her, seeking to repel instead of attract now. The human mind was so much more sensitive and feeble compared to the supernaturals that the strength of the directed pheromones hit the older woman immediately caused her eyes to glaze over, her body becoming unbalance and delirious, stumbling down the hall before doubling over and retching up all over the floor. Nadya gasped, her eyes wide at the sight, unable to comprehend what had just happened, the chaos from the last hour simply overwhelming her. "Get in here!" Nadya hissed as she grabbed Tobias' hand again, yanking him into the open room before slamming the door shut behind him, quickly turning about to brace her back against the door, visibly shaken from the whole ordeal. The air about her had quickly changed again with the perceived threat gone, like Tobias' bipolar mood swings, replacing the powerful repelling with that subtle attraction one now that they were alone again. Outside the woman was still ill and by the time the security would find her, have her seen by a doctor, and lucid enough to give a report on that the pair had hidden in her room, they would be long gone.
