The way that they landed was incredibly awkward, she couldn't remember the last time she had even taken a tumble or felt the grass against her porcelain flesh. Or smell the earthy odours from the soil and lawn. So often the world was in a state monochromatic beauty, a very cut and dry existence. Feeding and illusions were her entire life. What was left of her when she was human slowly decayed into an empty husk filled only by dark instinctual impulses. However, it was arguable if she was dead inside before she had even turned. The tales of her life were far from pretty, a world where innocence had perished far earlier than she could have ever prepared for. Probably far earlier than most ever could. But, could anyone prepare for the part that kept them sweet all but withered and decayed into nothing like it once was? It was something that just happened. Slowly but surely slipping away and yet before she knew it, it is simply too late. It was no doubt that long ago she had become a flawed and damaged flower, only to be warped and turned into a monster, many argued a God in some ways. Yet now, she was a monster with a heart? How could that be possible? Her entire existence suddenly imploded in on itself and she was still attempting to navigate through it. How strange. Did it make her weak? Did it make her more like those humans she pitied? She hadn't the faintest idea.

The intoxicating sensation that those illusions offered her literally were knocked right out of her like the wind had been thrust from her lungs at the landing. A quick flicker of the lights losing power and the massive snake was simply gone from existence and the muddled confusion of her intent was gone with it. Of course, it wouldn't take long to conjure it back. To what end? Even though she decided not to truly harm the man, despite how easy it could have been. She finds herself in a new mental state, the illusionist quite perplexed with being plunged through reality as if it tore a very hole within it. All while they both suddenly existed in a new spot despite the landing being turbulent. He could be damn near unstoppable if he could hone those abilities.

His apology amuses her just as much as that gentlemanly behaviour to help her off the ground. It was odd finding a youthful vampire let along a male of his age that possessed that kind of quality. She accepted his hand to pull herself up off the grass. He only just feared for his life! and yet he apologizes for a slightly rough landing? She practically had him tied up with her intentions remaining obscure, for all he knew she would warp those murky rules into her own. Who would have thought a trickster would manage an honest arrangement, even though their original intentions were hardly such. A broken smile cracked upon her face grew wider, flashing those deadly fangs inadvertently. The succeeding laugh is almost silent as she body softly shook. "You're sorry?" Her voice held the amusement and disbelief she possessed for the entire situation. She could never say she simply skipped through reality quite like that before, suddenly appearing somewhere else without even a moment's notice. The sensation teleporting offered her was sensational; her body near tingled at the thought of how it felt. How out of control she was in her own skin, all when her very existence was built on control.

Most could not escape her hold that her illusions possessed. After all, thinking in that headspace was incredibly difficult after being bombarded with an onslaught of her power. It still felt strange and out of place, calling a tie, which was entirely foreign to the dark haired woman, after all, she was never one to simply stop a game at a tie. Yet this spar of powers seemed to sate her enough. Or perhaps if the game went on any longer things would have certainly become far more real. The mischievous part of her wonders if there was a way to contain him, to hold him so he could not simply just melt from her grasp. Surely there was a way to contain a teleporter, but how? That would have to be a thought for another day. She tilts her head in a strange broken way as though allowing her mind to taste his words, before repeating the last ones. "Alright, we are even. For now." Her words are smooth like sickly sweet honeyed water. It was silly how either of them were admitting their own defeat.

She tastes the name upon her tongue. "Arlo, now that makes more sense." Yet it somehow did, perhaps seeming far more natural the way he spoke it. It was odd using her name for the simple fact that she rarely used it or offered it. The last time was a ploy to simply to gain the other vampires trust before she twisted his world around. He was a vampire that acted like no vampire that she had ever known. He ate animals! Animals! They were built to eat people and yet he suppressed that inner instinct to pacify himself, probably hindering his own strength in the process. Yet Arlo was different, he fed off their own kind. It was kind of poetic as though he was created a vampire to balance the scales. A hunter to hunt the hunter. "My name is Petra.. Petra Ambrose." It wasn't like anyone would recognize the name that dripped from her lush lips. The name felt odd on her tongue and yet it flowed easily. But what drew her attention back to what he said was that mention of being in trouble and she finds herself curious as to what kind of trouble. "Now what kind of trouble could someone like you find?" That voice curls about the air as if it possessed a dense presence despite it merely being words, surely words aren't tangible things, but it felt like it. Somehow, their proximity didn't bother either one, as their hands still holding one another, as though they were lost in a strange handshake that never ended. She wasn't quite sure when it was supposed to end or if it was to wait until they finished talking. Damn, she really needed to work on these people skills. When did she start caring about fitting in? Let's face it, it would be impossible for the woman to ever truly simply fit in.

She did recognize how to get what she wanted, to lure people to her bidding, to tap into their greatest fears. But simple interactions seemed entirely out of her comfort zone. It's not like she possessed friends. She knew how to emulate and to create, to have her own opinions on lesser vampires and frail weak little humans. He then suddenly bopped her on the head forcing her off her train of thought and a quizzical surprised look appeared on her face, he wasn't sure if she was real. Then suddenly the strange possibility occurred to her that quite possibly, he could have been made up from her own power. Could it work that way? She squeezed his hand as if to make sure. His explanation somehow made sense that he truly had to be real. His emotions taste real.

Petra narrowed those eyes as she studied him almost cautiously as though just to make sure, to make certain she didn't feel that connection she held to those illusions with him. "I think so, but you've seen what I can do. If you're not real, then I am afraid the world just became very dangerous." If she was not in control, 100% lucid, then truly she could destroy cities in a fit of madness. Yet, even still she was not exactly safe either. Oh, thank goodness she thought as the other vampire loosened his own grip. She wasn't exactly sure how long they were supposed to do that, not that it bothered her. It helped ground her in some strange way, to simply just hold something without intention to destroy it.

The man chattered quite a bit about it, disclosing all kinds of information about his bite as though he tried to make her 100% aware of what was to happen. She tips her head slightly, peering at the peculiar vampire before her with that haunting look she usually possessed. She just didn't accept that his bite could truly affect her in the ways that he spoke of. "Neck is fine, I am not concerned about marks. I do not need to sit, I can handle myself enough not to turn into a mushy puddle because a vampire simply decided to nibble on my neck." Petra nearly hmphed at him in her own way, standing a little straighter with a confident haughtiness. Surely, his bite wouldn't toy with her, in the same manner, it did to others. The twist of those duo coloured eyes seemed to almost shift and mingle like a play of the eye, or was it the influence of her devilish power always working? She couldn't turn it off even if she wished to. She is unafraid of him not keeping up his side of the arrangement, surely he knew by now that she was not a woman to be scorned.
