North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

This day had not started off how he had wanted. First, the weather was dreadful. The rain just keep coming, sometimes allowing a snow flake or several make the rain almost a slushy type texture. It was awful on the roads too, the water freezing on the bridges and making it that much more difficult to walk and drive.

Unfortunately, Henry was probably not the only victim today. He had been minding his own dam business walking on the sidewalk through the gardens. He had managed to get to the top of the bridge with no issues. And yet, just as soon as he began to walk over the other side, he slid on some unsuspecting ice and tumbled on his ass. He tried hard not to hit his head, shielding it with his arm. And as a result, his arm slammed into a jagged rock, slicing his arm open. Immediately, one too many choice words left his lips as he looked down to find his arm bleeding rather profusely. He grabbed his scarf, wrapping it tight around the wound before picking himself up off the ground and walking towards the nearest hospital.

Once inside, he was triaged and told to wait in the waiting room. It didn't seem smart to leave a bleeding man in the waiting room, but as patient came in complaining of stroke or heart attack symptoms or the occasional trauma, Henry knew that in the grand scheme of things, his arm injury was not important. So he waited.

After about an hour, the nurse came in and called his name. He was taken towards an exam room where he was asked to take off his jacket so the wound could be looked at. One look and the nurse sucked in a breath. "That's quite the wound. Let me go grab a doctor to see you right away." And then, she was gone. Leaving him alone in the ER exam room just waiting for someone to come look at his arm. Henry knew he would need some stitches. Honestly, he probably could have gotten better service doing his own stitches. And yet...he tried to be patient. He would get stitched up in no time.
