Dark lashes perfectly dressed in black mascara and eyeliner blink slowly over pale jade eyes that look over the light of the city that ignite the night. It was a... quaint little city, Sacrosanct. Such a life was hardly new to the fae woman that stood there upon that manicured terrace she'd purchased for herself but only a few days ago. She'd been looking for something new, something fresh... Unlike many who craved a "fresh start", Vitani had simply grown bored with the city streets of Amsterdam, never really having been the type to linger in any one place for long. Some might wonder why, and she might answer with something along the lines of "experiencing new things" or "taking in the sights of the world" and possibly even something like "because I have the money to spend so why not?", none of which were entirely dishonest. They were just... a touch on the inaccurate side of things was all, really. She certainly had the monetary resources, that went without saying with the extravagant new home she considered to be modest living when that was hardly true, though perhaps that was mostly just a matter of perspective. And to a fair extent, the fae woman did have a taste for exploring the world, more often than not settling at the very heart of the wealthiest parts of the biggest cities since such places usually provided her with all the... entertainment that she almost regarded as some sort of hobby for hers. Where there were vast estates, world-renowned landmarks, rich historical backgrounds or a combination of all of the above that drew in hordes of all races, there tended to be men and women that she blended so well with. Individuals that enjoyed the much finer, more expensive things in life like extaravant parties whether it be in beautifully sculptured mansions or maybe even on yachts like the many she would frequent. She had made a mental note to herself that one of those elegant little boats should be the next thing on her list of must have's, especially since she'd decided that while Sacrosanct wasn't exactly the sort of place that she settled for however long she so desired, having more or less the rest of eternity to grow tired of it and move on to her next metaphorical flower. This place could prove to be a pleasant little retreat from those much larger, much more crowded past cities she usually took up residency in. She stands there behind that stone wall, slender frame leaned over it ever so slightly with one arm propped up so that her hand would serve as a resting place for her chin while the other trailed absent-mindedly through long near-whire locks that cascaded elegantly over her shoulder, the crisp and cool night air toying with those strands in turn like a lover's hand brushing ever so tenderly through them. The very part about being so terribly new to a city, having yet to leave the confines of her home much too large for a bachelorette to reside in alone - though she hardly considered herself alone with the presence of her two in-house maids - was that there was so much to see. Pale eyes glitter with wicked amusement as she plays with those endless opportunities, of where she might decide to make her first appearance and if she might happen to fine something interesting enough to hold that frightfully fickle attention of hers. She remains there for a moment more, the sounds of a fire crackling behind her in that sophisticated and finely sculpted fire pit surrounded by those lounging chairs she was certain wild see her use, when finally she moves from that perch drinking in the city and walks through that the sliding glass door and into the indoor lounge and bar warmed by a small fireplace to the far eastern wall. She only pauses at the bar for a moment, slender fingers gently wrapping around the neck of that champagne glass as she tips her head back to finish the rest of the sparkling golden liquid before returning it to that place on the granite counter top before she exists that room, descending down those polished stairs and into the second floor of her mansion. She hardly turns to admire those expensive antiques and books and various modern decor as she walks through the rooms filled with furniture until she reaches the master bedroom, her room where a petite little brunette woman is placing freshly cleaned sheets on the California King bed. Vitani hardly gives her a passing glance a she walks across the room and into the large walk-in closet filled nearly to maximum capacity with elegant dresses ans various other designer and custom-made ensembles. She shifts through those dresses casually, already entirely aware of which one she was looking for."Dari, dear. Can you please tell Fredrick to ready the continental? I'll be going out tonight", she calls from the closet in silken sweetness though in those words there is no such warmth or affection to be found."Of course", comes the almost mousey reply from the young maid as she quickly dismisses her current task at hand to leave the bedroom. Vitani wasn't by any means violent. That would require having to risk ruining her silks that she was so much more fond of than the maids that tended tirelessly to the fae woman's needs with little to no appreciation on Vitani's part, but she paid them well to get exactly what she wanted the near instant she desired. Slipping effortlessly into that bejeweled a day flawlessly embroidered elegant black dress and heels, she departs into the master bathroom to ensure that her hair falling down to that petite waist was fashioned perfectly before exiting been bedroom altogether, descending down that main staircase with her hand trailing along the polished mahogany railing until ebony heels click against ivory tile that ran throughout the main entryway of the immaculate mansion. Vitani is met at the front door by Darcy once more who offers the fae woman a timid smile that does not go unnoticed by pale jade eyes beneath those dark lashes but she says nothing in farewell as she walks through that opened door and down those few stone steps where she is now greeted by the tall, dark-haired man who opened the door to that black Lincoln Continental limousine, dipping his head to the fae woman."Destination, Miss Lovelace?", he inquires courteously as she slides easily on the leather seats, the interior illuminated by soft blue light."To the northern side of the city until I tell you to stop", she purrs to the man before he gives a silent nod and gently closed the door behind her before climbing into the driver seat and they pull out of the paved driveway and towards the wealthy part of Sacrosanct. She had yet to learn any names of the finer placed the go, and so she intended to have the chauffeur drive until she saw anything that might prove remotely worthwhile. She decides against the champagne chilling in the bar beside her, her intrigue resting solely on those fashionable street lights and illuminated restaurants and bars, glancing only briefly over the well-lit department stores and various other stores and shopping centers scattered along either side of the road as they traveled ever deeper into the city. It wasn't until pale jade eyes cushy sight of a particularly unique sign attached to the front of a darkly painted building."Here will do just fine, Fredrick", she calls to the man through that open space in the partition. He is quick to pull over then, parking the vehicle and moving to open the door. The fae woman wastes little time stepping out onto the sidewalk, silken fabric of that form-fitting dress brushing against the ground, small black purse clasped in her right hand. She doesn't offer the man thanks as she moves into the intricately decorated bar, the quiet murmurs of well-dressed individuals filling the air with the soft clanking of glass and silverware against ceramic plates. Walking gracefully over to the bar with womanly hips swaying softly, she was entirely too pleased as several men turned their heads as she moved past them, their gazes drawn to her as jaws slackened for a moment though none seemed to be so bold as to approach the femme fatale as she seats herself upon one of those high chairs places along the length of the bar, crossing one leg over the other as she folded her hands on the polished surface before her. Again she places those elbows on the surface as soft hands cradle her chin when the bartender hurriedly slides over to her, chocolate eyes hardly hiding their wandering gaze before they settle upon those pale green eyes that blink slowly beneath dark lashes."Hello, gorgeous. What can I get you tonight?", he drawls the her then, a coy smile dancing across plush colored lips. She was not unfamiliar to such words as "beautiful" or "gorgeous", and while one would think she'd grown bored of such ordinary things, she still took enjoyment in how easy most men were to steal the attention of. That being said, she was hardly here for the likes of a bartender."A Grey Goose martini, if you would be so kind", she says with a voice sweet like honey and smooth as silk that seems to be more than enough to have the man nearly tripping over himself to get the drink she'd ordered. How cute. Lifting her head from its resting place and allowing her hand to fall into her lap then, she turns in her seat, the dim light of the bar catching on those jewels that adorned her dress and causing them to glitter as she allows for her gaze to travel curiously over the refined decor and unknown faces that filled The Voodoo Room, looking for anything and nothing in particular. She hardly even hardly pays any mind to the group of men at a table in the far corner of the bar, whispering among themselves as they cast their eyes over her when she finally turns her back to those wandering eyes as the fae woman takes to appraising the wide variety of liquors that stocked the shelves behind the bar with a critical look, decidedly refraining from offering them even the slightest of smiles as those sensitive pointed ears catch them bickering among each other on who should approach her. Men were such amusing creatures. Let one of them try and move into the empty seat beside her, she'd welcome the encounter if only for a moment to or two. They'd be entering into a dangerous game if they were feeling daring enough, but if there was one thing Sacrosanct had yet to see of the wealthy fae woman, it was that Miss Vitani Marie Lovelace hardly ever played nice. |
