The topic of her old burlesque didn't bother Nadya in the least. She was proud of the business she had built. It had been a far cry from a strip bar and the standard she held brought the clients she desired. It was only once the twins had been born and seeing them grow up did she desire a change. Children so had that effect on rearranging priorities. Still, just because she no longer danced on the stage didn't mean she no longer danced. Her routines were simply kept for private viewing now. Nadya smirked at Frost's compliment as she took a sip of the wine.
Her internal musings shifted at Malia's insistence that the menu did her no good as the print was tossed unceremoniously back on the table. Nadya had yet to find a suitable teacher for Malia. Just because her packmate couldn't read didn't mean the girl was stupid. Nadya wanted to ensure the teacher didn't treat Malia like a child. Perhaps she could find a second language teacher. Those thoughts pushed aside for a later time as she regarded her packmate with a warm smile. "I'm getting the beef braciole. I think you'd like it too." She set her menu down on top of Malia's to signal she had made a decision.
Nadya raised a brow slightly at Henry's comment about the burlesque. "Those girls work more complex dance routines than you'll see in a night club." Her attention shifted to Malia. "We can certainly go. I haven't seen the girls in forever and the new owner and I are friends so we can go in after hours if you want to dance on the stage too. I can show you some of my old routines." She had no problem taking Malia on a girl's night out to dress up in costumes and dance on stage. "It's a completely different feeling and atmosphere dancing under those stage lights, being the center of attention, than in a dark place with everyone up against you." There were nights where she didn't mind the bar life but others the exhilaration of being on stage was what she craved.
"The only warning there should be is to not attack another pack's Alpha." Nadya commented idly, rolling her eyes as she nibbled on a cracker. "Raven made a mistake and my brother refuses to admit it and set things straight." That night had been the beginning of the end in Nadya's opinion. Her brother had never even cared to hear her words, to investigate instead of taking the wolf's word that Frost had attacked first. It had been false and Nadya could never overlook that. An Alpha should have given an ear to his Beta, a brother should have given an ear to his sister who before he had said cared for. Actions spoke louder than words time and again and Nadya was through with it.
The stiffness Nadya held in her shoulders softened when the restaurant owner returned to their table to personally take their order. "We'll have the beef braciole." That glamouring smile graced her features as she handed Paolo hers and Malia's menu. Paolo's expectant gaze then turned to Henry and Frost.
