The witch's lips pressed together in a hard line as she eyed the matte ebony cards laid out in front of her. There was something undoubtedly unique about them, after all, Serafina could feel the power that seemed to radiate from them, the likes of which so uniquely called to her. If only she knew the value of what she held in her hands! For divination purposes, however, she had little idea to just how accurate those cards could be, the vampire's query alone only prompted her to eye them with a sense of dubiousness. Her cheek leaned against the palm of her hand as she reached out with the opposite one to gingerly push those cards into a vague resemblance of a pile. At the very least, however, his reading was far optimistic then her own. How that very prediction lingered upon her mind - an unwanted journey that might forever change her life. Her eyebrows furrowed at the prospect, the girl clearly displeased even as she informed her vampiric companion of what fate seemingly had in store for her. She glanced up from the pile of cards as he repeated those three words, only to offer her a boyish grin as he declared it an adventure, of all things!
The stormy hue of her irises slid away from the man beside her, a small pout present upon her lips as she placed that small mesh of cards back together with the rest of the deck. "I like things the way they are, thank you." She muttered, more to herself than her companion. Thankfully, he hardly seemed inclined to bother her as he reached for his fruity martini. Her thoughts shifted, however, as Jack inquired after her particular line of work. Now that, was a vastly more interesting topic. A small, almost sly simper twisted upon her features as she shifted to face him, informing him of the wonders her shop could hold for someone like him. Fearlessly, her hand reached out, her finger pressing against his chest where his still heart laid. She was acutely aware of the way his gaze turned downwards towards her slender arm, and though it was hardly the place men mostly looked, Serafina was more than content to tease him with whatever drew his attention. The bright blue of his gaze rose to stare into the depths of her slate-colored irises with a sort of aggressive predatorial look and yet, the sultry kitten remained entirely undaunted as she sweetly uttered of her capabilities to fulfill his heart's every whim.
Serafina offered him an equally flirtatious wink as she pulled back her hand, reaching instead for the still chilled liquor within her own martini glass. How quickly he seemed to shift now that she no longer invaded his space, his inquiry hardly unexpected. "That is what 'for the right price' means, doesn't it?" She inquired, her head tilting to the side. She watched silently as he ordered his beer, that amber bottle arriving prompting as he brought it to his lips. Serafina hardly had to wait long, however, before Jack offered some form of 'payment' for her services rendered. Without hesitation, Serafina chose those bills over another Martini, only to be offered a wad of cash far more than she had anticipated. She hardly batted an eye at it, however, as it was placed within her palm, nor did she hesitate to count it before she slid it away as hers...before he could change his mind. Carefully, she tucked her cards away with the money, the girl contemplating taking her leave, and yet, before she could do such a thing, Jack offered her a far more curious proposal. Her manicured brow arched as she glanced towards him. "A deal? What are you proposing, Mr. Hayes?" She inquired, it better be good if he wished to keep her attention.
