kissing death and loosing my breath
There was a small blush to the young woman's lips as she stepped out of her townhouse, she had entirely unexpected that her speedy dressing might somehow be noticed. Mentally she made a note to ensure that she spent her new found money on a new wardrobe. Her mentor's monetary limits no longer having any hold upon her. "Er...thanks, I think." She replied, her voice holding the smallest hint of uncertainty, as if she was unsure she was receiving a compliment or being insulted. Then again, he had a way of keeping her on her toes, always uncertain of what to expect of him, of what actions pushed over his boundaries and those he approved of. He was cryptic at best. It was this that absorbed her thoughts as she allowed him to lead her to his still running car, her grey tinged gaze sweeping over the vehicle in vague curiosity. Serafina herself held no immediate passion for vehicles but she knew all too well men and their fascination for things that go fast. Her grey tinged eyes shifted towards the man beside her as he reached out to open the door for her own benefit. "Thank you." She muttered softly, sliding with feline grace into the front seat of his vehicle. Her gaze shifted with a certain sort of inquisitiveness to the window, curious as to where her evening with the warlock was going to lead her to now.

His voice captured the girl's attention, her head shifting to offer him the smallest of simpers upon her own fair feminine features. "I can't say that I do." She replied politely. In truth, her mentor hadn't seen fit to culture her much to the country beyond. Everything she'd known had come from an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Travel had been something that had been rather out of the question for the female for years, his death having opened up doors for her that she had never truly realized had been closed. It was quite astonishing, now that she thought about it, the way that his murder could change so much of her life â€" it was just there for the taking. "I think I'd like to visit France some day." Serafina added in an almost musing fashion. The girl was acutely attentive to the turns he took, attempting to guess their destination before they even arrived. The last place she had anticipated the car ride ending, however, was a rather unnoticeable parking garage. Her stormy gaze glanced around the facility as he offered to help her out and briefly the young woman took his arm, allowing him to lead her towards the door of the adjacent building.

A fleeting glimpse of surprise crossed her features at the sharply dressed butler that stood before them with smile in place and a heavy French accent laboring his words. She bobbed her head in a small nod, offering him a weak simper in return before stepping into the lobby of the building, trailing behind her companion into the elevator. Briefly her gaze slid over the facade of the elevator, noting the same French architecture. Her gaze shifted only by her companion's attention turning towards her, his face seeming to light up with enthusiasm. It was clear that he was looking forward to tonight and yet, for some reason, his excitement made the woman apprehensive. She held her breath as the door of the elevator opened, her eyes widening in surprise as she stared at the scene in front of her. Breathlessly, the young woman stepped from the elevator, her stormy eyes taking in every magnificent feature of the world she found herself within. She turned in a slow circle, observing every facet, "How did you....?" She inquired, not quite finishing her sentence and slowly she reached out to hook her arm within his. "It's beautiful, Davante."
