North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Chizue knew all too well that she was intruding. Her oriental upbringing made the youthful girl painfully aware of where each social border lie - even now as she tentatively toed that line. She hardly would have been surprised had he denied her such an intrusion into his world and it was perhaps for that reason that she took his acceptance with such a measurable mark of glee. A radiant simper crossed her lips at his confirmation, replaced only by a certain sort of inquisitiveness as she asked after what his fair maiden was like - what sort of things he liked. Her head tilted to the side as she listened to him, her chocolate eyes intently watching the way his features shifted when he spoke of her. There was something about him that changed when he talked of her. There was a certain sort of melancholy about him, despite the adoration that he clearly laced his every syllable. He looked away from her slowly causing the Japanese girl to pause ever so slightly. A small frown crossed her sweet heart lips, her gaze intently watching him. It was clear to her that there was far more to this then he was letting on. However, she was hardly intending to pry, instead focusing her attention on whatever was necessary to bring that Cheshire grin back to his masculine features.

She turned slowly, her dark eyes tracing the storefronts that surrounded them, looking desperately for some kind of distraction whilst, at the same time, making the same sort of unwavering effort to ensure that she still helped in perhaps finding something to convey those emotions he found himself unable to do. Jewelry wouldn't do. It was far too cliche. There had to be something better. "Oh!" She declared as her chocolate eyes fell upon a small hole in the wall store. It was dingy at best and yet it was what Chizue could see through the darkened windows that coaxed the girl to an otherwise almost dilapidated location. "Does she like books?" The oriental woman inquired, leaning forward onto the tips of her toes, her fingers clasped in front of her with a small simper on her features. "First editions are always wonderful gifts." She continued on, "They show care because you have to pick out the right one - something you know is the other person tastes so it shows that you pay attention." Her head tilted to the side ever so slightly as she watched him, "What do you think?" She inquired sweetly, clearly still trying to help in her own fashion.
