Edie had hardly planned ahead to what she would do once she was on the ground of the store. Whatever her companion had in mind had better have been worth her trouble. She hoped she'd given him enough time to do what he'd wanted to accomplish when she finally opened her eyes. After all, she didn't want to give them enough time to get an ambulance here. She was sure that would be a complicated situation to get out of, perhaps more complicated than the situation she'd already created for herself. It was the man's voice echoing in her own mind to meet him outside that prompted her to push herself up on her elbows and try to wave off the hands of the shop assistant who had insisted she should stay lying down. Casually, Edie let out a girlish giggle and shook her head. "Oh, drat," She said in her cool, English voice as she sat up fully. "I just knew the smell of that perfume would mess with me. Really, you shouldn't spray it around so heavily in the store." She met the assistant's eyes, glad to see the guilt that was forming on her features so readily. "I just knew coming in here would be a mistake. I have a migraine, you see, but that shirt was just too perfect for me to not come look at. I guess the smell just made me a little woozy."
Edie ignored the way the assistant spoke to tell her that she should really be checked out by an ambulance as she pulled herself to her feet. "That won't be necessary," She said simply, her voice allowing no room for argument. "Really, I should get out of your dreadful shop before I faint again." She reached down, picking up her fallen purse and stepping around the crowd of people. She pretended to not hear the faint protests of the shop assistant as she walked decidedly out of the shop. It took a moment for the girl's eyes to adjust to the bright sunlight â€" perhaps she'd hit her head a little too hard as she'd fallen â€" but when she did, it wasn't hard to find the snowy haired man at the bench.
Within moments, she'd joined him at the bench, watching as he counted out the bills he'd grabbed. How he'd managed to do that, the young fox had absolutely no idea. In the brief moment she'd had her eyes open with him in the shop, he'd merely been browsing a rack of men's shirts with no interest in the fallen girl. Whatever he'd done, it was impressive, and it was enough to make the girl's eyes fall entirely on the stack of cash. Though he'd only promised her fifty dollars, maybe she could play her cards right and manage to receive a cut of that money. "So," She finally said when he'd finished counting. She flashed him a bright smile as she reached up to straighten out her now messy hair. "I think that I did my job well. No one can resist a pretty damsel in distress, now can they?"
"Now that you've made a profit off of my pretty face and dashing acting skills, I do believe you owe me," She kept her gaze steady on the male's face. He was an Alpha for sure, and Edie couldn't help but wonder if anyone talked to him the way she was. "Now, I'm sure you carved yourself a pretty little loophole that you only promised me fifty dollars, so I doubt you're planning on giving me any of that money, are you?" She smirked, fully prepared for him to admit that he had no intentions on it. "Which is fine. I agreed to fifty. No more, no less. But my demand is that you be my arm candy for the rest of the afternoon. I could use some entertainment." She grinned and stood, offering her hand out to him. "Unless you're afraid you won't be able to resist my dashing beauty and make me take you up on that sleeping with you offer."
