I wonder just how open to this idea Ceara was, hosting an event for vampires. We're not known to be creatures of the party zone unless we're in disguise amongst humans. We don't like to congregate in small areas because usually bad things happen and less vampires go home at the end. None the less, I'm hoping for Isolt's sake that this at least mostly goes off without a hitch. I'm proud of her for stepping up to take the leader role and I'm not in any hurry to take it back. I want to see what she can do with it and watch her grow further in confidence. I think this will be a good thing for her.

I catch Ceara's words to Isolt as I venture up and feel gratitude to her for making Isolt feel more at ease. While a perfect hostess by all means, she always seems to doubt her own abilites and charm. I'm glad I won't be the only one lifting her up this time. I knew my whispered words wouldn't go fully unnoticed, especially when Ceara was already focused on us anyway. Her retort has me chuckling as I eye her dress and give her a lopsided smirk. "You look nice as well, Ceara. Maroon and black is really your color. Those even look like tiny bats. Nice touch."

I look up as the nexts guests arrive, this time an entrancing brunette that must be from a different time if her straight posture is anything to go by. The high necked dress is a hint as well but it's quite classy. I raise a brow, intrigued since I've never met this vampire before so she must have arrived in town after I left. I can see the curiosity in her own eyes as they sweep over Isolt and I, straightening up to listen as she greets Isolt with kisses and sweet words before introducing the girl at her side. I bow my head after Isolt gets to speak, reaching out to gently clasp the woman's fingers and brush my lips across them in a gentlemanly fashion. "A pleasure to meet you, miss. I'm Damon." I've never been one to wait on my introduction. I'm too high strung and impatient for such but I do retain manners.

The little blonde at her side however is not unknown to me. Her outfit is also that of another time, white satin with lots of lace. It makes her look pretty and innocent though I am well aware that she is not the latter. She is dangerous for her looks and I like it. I remember well when I approached her in the North side of town. I was originally hunting, that is, torturing an innocent human by letting her run through the abandoned streets screaming, knowing no one would help her. Usually I just use my gift to charm them and they give up the goods and forget about it, just going on their merry little way. But that night, I wanted to play with my food so I sent her on a goose chase and she ended up in dear little Anna's arms.

As the little girl approaches, I can see the tension in her shoulders though she seems to be focused on Ceara, at least at first. I wonder idly how they know each other. Then her eyes find me and she glares, drawing one brow upward in curiosity. What did I do to earn such a look? Surely she remembers that night. Maybe I have to remind her so she knows that we are the same, at least in our hunting styles. At least we did that night. My head tilts as she responds to Isolt being introduced. Clearly she is aware of Isolt's title otherwise I don't know what else she would be asking about. I leave Isolt to work her charm magic on her before I kneel down in front of her and gently clasp her fingers as well, giving her the same gentleman's greeting as I did with her friend, though my eyes have a playful twinkle in them when I lift my gaze to hers.

"You look lovely tonight, miss. I hope you recall our game of hopscotch. I look forward to playing with you again sometime. I don't think we got to introduce ourselves that night though so let me correct that negligence. I am Damon." My lips tug into a small smirk, hoping that's enough to remind her that while she was wary of me at first that night, thinking she'd have to defend her meal when the woman fell in her arms, I quickly let her know that I had different plans in mind. She wanted to play with the woman so I used my gift to tell the woman to play hopscotch exactly as Anna wanted. She seemed to warm up to me rather quickly after that. Hopefully she won't be so wary of me now.

When I do finally straighten back up beside Isolt, my gaze sweeps over the newest arrival, a man this time in a nice tux. He seems to know everyone as well, his gaze moving toward Isolt with recognition before his eyes narrow a bit on Anna and her companion. There's definitely familiarity in that look and something else. Jealousy? Bitterness? I'm intrigued but I keep my thoughts to myself as he wanders over. His hand finds Ceara first before he greets Isolt, his compliments fully for Ceara, it would seem, though I don't mind. I wait for his gaze to meet mine before I extend my hand for a firm handshake. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Damon."
