North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

A soft scoff of a laugh escapes Ceara's lips at Damon's words. Sure she held pride in her bar and maintained and groomed it like a living thing but it hadn't been on her to-do list. "Hardly. My dreams consisted of marrying a man and raising a family...living. Dreams and aspirations are for the living, when there is an end to be afraid of. At the recommendation of an old mentor I chose a business that would be easy to keep at night, something to keep me busy from thinking about hunting." A slow roll of her shoulder suggested a shrug of sorts, uncaring for the reason behind where she was at, only that she was here now. Her delicate fingers found their way to play with her rings again, an absent behavior done in boredom, feeling the need for every one of them to be perfectly in place.

The bartender didn't have to be called again, having to be summoned to wait on the owner wouldn't have faired him well in her decision on what to do with him, this time his gaze was pulled up for the moment not afraid since Ceara's attention was being diverted. Two frosted glasses filled with golden liquid of top shelf ale slid over the spotless wooden bar, of the mind-frame that whoever Ceara was with would be getting to same thing, to be treated to the same quality of beverage without question. "Your Crown Ambassador Reserve, Ms. Hade." He mumbled slightly before vanishing again to tend to a few customers meandering up to the other end of the bar. Perhaps Ceara did have a slight drinking problem, she enjoyed the taste of the alcohols from all over the world, picking apart each one in their differences but it was hard not to when you own a bar and have a near endless tolerance for the liquid. You wouldn't see her drunk and making a fool of herself like humans do.

"Sacrosanct does hold a certain appeal for the supernatural, an epicenter of sorts that attracts all sorts like moths to a flame. I still have yet to figure out what draws us all here since many haven't heard of it before stumbling in. It does make living out your sentence much easier when you don't have to skulk in the shadows, I'll give it that." Ceara nodded knowingly, tipping her new drink to her lips briefly. "There aren't many others of our kind, at least none that bother to cross paths with. There is a club near the warehouses run by a vampire, if you like that sort of place I'm sure it's a blast...I do not care to be rubbed up on by wanna-be goths or young vampires with their training wheels still on." Ceara contemplated Damon again, still unsure if she could trust him, his line of questioning holding no real need for suspicion other than she just wasn't asked such things often. She would hate for another vampire to slip through the cracks though and find their way under some strobe lights and thumping music if she could help it. It seemed a stereotype that the human had that she despised, that all they wanted was blood and sex and thrived within a nightclub setting. "If you do decide to stick around I may have a place for you here. With the city's population growing I find myself a bit short staffed and could use another waiter..." Her eyes flickered to the bartender at the other end, "Or a bartender if that's more to your liking."
