Miyako had been in Sacrosanct for less than a week, the human woman had managed to finish unpacking, purchase a dining room table off of the internet, decorate the ghostly apartment and meet her rather strange and a little creepy roommate, to top it all off her roommate was a boy. She didn't have the best first impression from him, considering she had to pay his late fee for rent as well as a deposit and first month's rent. It was rather hectic but it was still the best deal she could find in the city and it was close to the University. Still, Mi only had so much savings and she desperately needed to find a job within the month.
Feeling the stress that threatens to engulf her, Miyako quickly retrieves her messenger bag and her coat from the chair next to her. The professor had finally dismissed the class, a rather dull lecture, and the woman had a hard time concentrating considering her thoughts were elsewhere. As she slips the coat around her thin shoulders she stuffs her hands into her pockets before exiting into the cold. The sun shines weakly on the back of her, and though she's thankful for the sunny days, the can't help but grumble at the coldness of them still. Miyako was ready for warm weather but it was still a month or so off.
Nestling deeper into her jacket, she follows the traffic of the crowd out of the building, her eyes on the ground, afraid that if she looks up the cold will sneak its way down her neck. Shivering, she picks up her pace following the sidewalk for a ways before the scent of coffee catches her attention. Snapping her head up, she swivels around looking for the source, finding a shop just across the street. Her chocolate eyes light up before she makes her way across the street quickly, entering the shop, she's surrounded by the aroma of freshly baked items and coffee. Smiling softly to herself, she slips into line, retrieving her wallet from her bag.
It takes only but a moment to retrieve her drink and she's out the door back into the cold, her hands wrapped firmly about the cup. Enjoying the warmth that seeps into her chilled fingers, she smiles softly to herself, eyes on the ground again, taking a sip from time to time to warm her body. She had a long ways to go before she reached home, but perhaps she would pop into a few restaurants on her way home to retrieve applications. She found working the night life in the food industry worked well with her busy schedule, though she found herself running on little sleep. Shrugging, she needed a job and wouldn't complain when she finally was hired.
It's these thoughts that race through her mind, as she rams straight into another body, her coffee exploding over the both of them. Staggering backwards, her eyes wide, she barely catches herself before she sprawls over the ground, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" she exclaims, dropping her messenger bag to the ground to retrieve napkins she had shoved into the bag earlier. "Here, let me help," she offers before she starts dabbing away the coffee on the woman's oversized clothing. "I didn't burn you, did I?" she asks, inspecting the girl from head to toe. Perhaps she was homeless, was Miyako's first thought, not only were her clothes far too big for her, she looked a little grungy at that. Brows furrowing, she draws her attention away from the clothes and back to the stranger, concern flitting across her chocolate eyes.
