Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He didn't know how she was raised and he knew he had no right to ask really. Her past was her business unless she chose to share it. He only said what he did about the motel seeming beneath her because of the way HE sees her. She held herself with such grace and whether it was because of what she is or something more, Troy only said what he was thinking. He felt like she deserved the finer things in life. When he mentioned flexibility in the bedroom, she caught on with her usual wittiness, giving him one of those smoldering looks as she bit her lip and told him she could do more than that. His brow raised and his eyes darkened with desire.

"OH, I BET YOU CAN. AND YOU'RE WELCOME TO SHOW ME ANYTIME."

He gave a smirk. It was just too easy to flirt with Amelia. She made it seem natural. He let his hands do the talking while he massaged her feet. He could tell she was enjoying herself, the way she leaned back into the pillows and relaxed her body. He must have surprised her with his pretend at being offended about his score on the massage, her face cracking up with humor at his reaction. He knew she was joking but it was too much fun to joke with her, whether it was about sex or just a foot massage, he could do this all day with her. He could tell she didn't want to go into it when he brought up the other night, able to pick up on the sudden stiffening of her legs while he was massaging. He continued to concentrate on the stressed areas, even working up her ankles and calves, massagging the deep tissue of her muscles and trying to de-stress her everywhere, especially while this topic was in the conversation because he knew how much it stressed her to talk about.

He didn't want to force her to talk about anything. He only wanted to know she was going to be okay, that she wasn't going to have a breakdown because he knew or anything. He didn't want any awkwardness between them. She meant too much to him for that. She unwrapped a burger and took a bite and he raised an eyebrow, watching her. He watched her expression, wanting to make sure she didn't altogether hate it. So far, she seemed to be okay with it anyway. She wasn't running to a trash can to spit it out or barfing it up or anything so it couldn't be that bad. She finally said that it wasn't bad and he smirked.

"WELL, YOU COULD ALWAYS JUST GO BITE A COW IF YOU WANT IT MORE YOUR STYLE BUT I FIGURED YOU COULD TRY A LITTLE HUMANING FOR THE DAY. GET DOWN ON MY LEVEL SO I DON'T FEEL SO INFERIOR."

He gave her a teasing wink to let her know he was just joking, trying to keep the mood light as always. Of course when he mentioned the other night, she sighed and set her burger down and he knew she wasn't going to eat anymore. She was upset and he could tell and he almost hated himself for bringing it up. He just felt like it was the elephant in the room and he didn't like the tension. He could understand where she was coming from. She could accept what had happened but she couldn't forget it and it was still too deeply ingrained in her, those memories. He nodded.

"I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AFRAID TO LET YOURSELF BE EMOTIONAL AROUND ME. I'LL ADMIT, I'M NOT THAT GOOD WITH CRYING FEMALES, BUT I MAKE FOR A WARM PILLOW IF YOU JUST WANT TO BURY YOUR FACE AND I HAVE GOOD EARS THAT CAN LISTEN WHEN YOU WANT TO VENT."

His smile was soft and warm this time, inviting her to be comfortable around him. He continued massaging up her legs, hoping he was helping with the whole de-stress thing.
