Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sterling refused to blame his lover for what had occurred to him. He simply couldn't associate the man he knew and loved with that creature that had so callously hunted him down with the intention of ripping him to shreds. He was so utterly certain of that difference between man and beast. Perhaps he was being childish in his refusal to face the truth, maybe he was fooling himself with that belief that Henry loved him enough that the man wouldn't have willingly done such a thing to him. Either way, that love he held for his boyfriend made him blind. It eclipsed those scars, that limp, that pain...all if it was in the past, as far as Sterling was concerned. His head shook almost stubbornly at Henry's insistence that all of it was of his doing. Those three words of adoration that left his lips were little more than a choked utterance. He watched as Henry quite suddenly moved towards him as if those words somehow held a certain power of the man who had become all but distant in those moments after the discovery of those scars that marred his flesh.
Those bright blue eyes followed his boyfriend's form as Henry settled beside him on that sofa. His lover's lips were altogether soft against his own, that kiss returned with a hint of hopeless desperation. Was it so silly? That he found himself almost afraid that Henry would just leave him again? That soft touch of those fingers was altogether relished in, that declaration of Henry's feelings for him both had a fashion of bringing a hint of a warmth within his chest and too concerning him all the more. It would hardly be unlike Henry, after all, to cause that guilt to get in the way of their relationship. He couldn't lose the man, not again. His lips parted and yet, Sterling could hardly think of the words to say that might calm his boyfriend. That soft sigh caused his eyebrows to furrow as Henry's hands fell away from his face and yet, Sterling merely shook his head in disagreement with those words.
It was that mention of Henry's creator, however, that Sterling latched onto, his hands reaching out to rest upon Henry's own. "But that's good that he's helping right? Maybe things will get better and then you won't have to worry anymore? It's going to be okay. I mean...I'm fine Henry." He uttered softly, wholly attempting to reassure the man even though he was hardly sure it was going to work. "I just...I just want to be with you Henry, I want you and that stupid house you wanted to buy us and...the rest doesn't matter." He knew well what he was signing up for, the sort of damage that Henry could do to him and yet, there were warlocks and witches who specialized in healing, those who could perhaps help their precarious situation. It didn't matter to Sterling. Frankly, Henry was worth it all.
