Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The very notion of doctors, it seemed, was not one Raven had considered. In the least, she remained fearful of the outcomes such a visit might result in and too, it seemed, she was unsure of just how her fiance's apparent behaviour might well be reflected in a medical setting. He could, perhaps, attest to the very moods her mate was capable off. After all, it had taken several off his security guards to ring the fellow under control before. For such a lanky, slender man, he had proven to be decidedly strong. Truly, Dorian could near have been convinced the man was a professional fighter! It was, he supposed, a risk to expose such an unpredictable creature to any other being in a setting in which he might find a ready discomfort and yet, were there not doctors capable of dealing with this very thing? His own knowledge within the medical field was a surely limited thing, after all, Sebastian had confiscated his medical textbooks after he had become terribly concerned over his lovers hydration levels. Any and all such medical knowledge now came directly from Elizabeth herself. The housekeeper often allowing him to peruse her study notes while she was in attendance to answer any question he might have on the matter. Still- it was these very notes that had shown him just how far medicine had come! Surely someone could assist Raven and her mate. Dorian contemplative once more.

"I could always inquire for you if you should like to find someone? Perhaps, foolish though it might sound, you might even seek out a professional used to dealing with children? I hardly mean to imply your mate is childish, rather, such doctors are used to unpredictability and crating comfortable environments."

It was, in that moment, perhaps the only solution he could readily think off and yet such a decision would need be Raven and her mates alone. There was every chance the fellow might not desire help, or more then that, might prove utterly unwilling to have it. Especially if it was so proven to be more than a complication of speech as Dorian had so incorrectly believed. Such thoughts, for now, were easily brushed aside in the wake of that mention of invitations. Dorian readily offering his own advice for just how to go about choosing the perfect invitation. His own having been chosen by Anastasia after she had ruled out his secondary choice and so prompting that final decision. Dorian readily assuring Raven all the same that, if a colour could not be chosen, a classic, crisp white was surely presentable in every sense and afford an air of class all the same. That very offer to walk that woman down the aisle was entirely unexpected. That shock upon his features altogether clear. Such an honour! Yet too- he knew readily off her situation, the only male beings within her life so being the man she was set to marry and this Alpha-man she had mentioned several times and who, Dorian largely suspected, was already fulfilling that role of best man to Tobias. Neither man thereby capable of fulfilling that all-too important role of giving the bride away. What on earth one wore to a Were-wedding however he hardly knew. He would surely need question Raven thoroughly upon it later.

Whatever questions had so arrived within his mind in that moment however were abruptly ceased as the young woman's hand rubbed at Maxwell's ear. Raven softly offering that assurance that she was rather thrilled to be married if only because she had so anticipated it might never happen. That soft, warm smile finding his features all the same. Ah! But how some things never changed! How many woman within his court over those many centuries had he heard bemoaning the lack of marriage-worthy men! How many had feared they were not pretty enough, not smart enough, not worldly enough or off the right breeding to met the man they desired. It was, perhaps, an age-old worry that was so hardly new in any sense. A woman's standing in society mattered a great deal and, more then that, society so held women to a different standard then they did men. Raven's looks, he suspected, were a great source of lacking confidence to the girl. Dorian so attempting to assure her that, while important on first meeting perhaps, looks were surely not too terribly critical to a marriage in the end. The woman surely in possession of several far more notable qualities. Her intelligence, sense of duty, kindness, political mind, ability to bear children and her sharp, ready wit. All traits so many other women lacked when they had beauty alone.

He had hardly anticipated that further tale. Raven speaking of the circumstance from which she had come and those formative years off her life so marked with that obvious abuse. He knew well off her 'feral' tendencies and yet such treatment seemed decidedly extreme. Dorian frowning readily at this idea off her so being caged as if she truly were some beast. Such ideals inclined to leave a bitterness within his mouth all the same. That silver gaze meeting her own once more.

"Such things were not your fault. In fact, they are a very crime against you and should never have occured. I understand why you might be given to feel you are not of a background to marry well and yet the finest of all revenges is to rise above the situation those whom would bring you down placed you within. Despite all things you have found a man whom makes you happy and whom cares not for any of those things you perceive as flaws. Society has always been harsher to women and it always will be, I fear, yet any man unwilling to note your qualities is not a man worthy of you all the same. Be glad any such man is fleeting."

That smile found his lips once more before the soft sound of Matteo wandering from that kitchen with paperwork and tea in hand inclined his gaze towards the Frenchman. Dorian so taking a pleasure of sorts in the mans company even if, on most occasions, the elder Fae was inclined to prompt a vast degree of nervousness within him. That clear look of surprise upon Raven's features as she noted that obvious similarity between the pair was hardly missed and yet, Dorian remained near oblivious to the very confusion those titles had caused within the young woman's mind. The Fae King instead asking after that paperwork before affording his father that profuse thanks for agreeing to see such documents safely to their destination. That sudden question from Raven once more prompting that soft simper to his lips, Dorian leaning back within that chair as Matteo lent against the arm of the sofa he rested beside, sipping further upon his tea in a manner decidedly lackadaisical. Dorian's head shaking softly then.

"History records my pedigree as my being the son of Queen Isabella of Clemont and King Ferdinand I of Naples. This is perhaps only half true. While Isabella was indeed my Mother, I was conceived while Ferdinand was away on campaign and my Mother undertook an affair with Matteo."
An excellent affair it was too.
"Matteo! Needless to say my birth was of rather great shame to Ferdinand and yet he too had committed various indescreations while on campaign. It was agreed that for the sanctity of the Monarchy I would be raised as his son and no one would know the truth outside of my family. This remains largely true to this day."

Dorian paused once more, affording Raven that chance to understand the circumstance off his birth as a royal bastard rather then a true Prince in any sense. Dorian glancing once more toward the elder Fae then to inform him of the knowledge he had been asked to walk Raven down that aisle. Matteo affording the woman a ready grin and that assurance her day would be splendid and indeed-that she surely deserved such a day. That subtle mention that she did not remember him, however, readily saw Dorian's own eyes lift in curiosity and yet he knew how fickle his Father was prone to being when offered such questions as this. Perhaps such things were best not discussed. Raven affording that inquiry quite before he could stop her. Matteo, for his part, merely continued to sip that tea, those bright silver eyes resting upon the young woman then as he rested that cup upon his leg. Affording her his full attention now.

I saw you, sometimes, when you were a child. I believe it was because you were destined to meet Dorian and as such your paths intersected in my visions. You would not remember me, I suspect, because you were so young. I spoke to you a few times. You deserve every happiness, Raven- and it will find you. That much I promise.
