Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
It had been a truly perfect morning so far as Dorian was concerned. The pair had, perhaps, been a little late in rising- those daylights hours so rarely indulged within by either of them- and yet once Dorian had succumbed to that wakefulness and Sebastian had indulged within that taste of his blood he required to embrace that sunlight the sleepiness had been all but chased from him. That glorious, private resort had only a handful of other guests capable of affording that lavish vacation within the Galapagos resulting in a peace and relative privacy Dorian had all but forgotten might exist. Such an island was the very sort of place where one might forget the outside world existed in any sense- and how the Monarch so relished that utterly uninterrupted time with his new husband! He had, with some prompting from Sebastian, so finally accepted the idea that it was both socially acceptable and location appropriate to walk about most parts of that island without shoes so provided he stayed upon that designated path or the beach itself. How baffling the idea that he might go without shoes! Dorian having spent the better part of that morning merely relishing in an experience so simple as that. The Monarch having walked his lover over near half that island in pursuit of those native bright flowers and the rainbow coloured iguanas he was determined he might convince to stay still long enough to draw.
It was that visit to the far side of the Island and that population of native wild tortoises that had be far thrilled the Fae King the most. The giant, peaceful creatures, even despite their slow-moving, unexcitable personalities were something of an anomaly to the man. Their size alone prompting his awe before their guide had so assured him he might surely feed the animal. Dorian having been handed that bowl of milkweed and melon and grasses before so being instructed to slowly crouch down beside the creature and offer it one of those treats from his hand. The Tortoise he had chosen entirely grateful to comply with that offering off food for such minimal effort- the animal taking each offered piece gently from his hand. Dorian so utterly unable to remove that grin from his features at a task so delightful. There was something terribly endearing about such large, peaceful creatures, many of them well over one hundred years old. That alone, perhaps, inspiring some measure of comradery within the immortal Fae. Dorian so having insisted Sebastian feed those animals in turn. His Vampiric husband surely only agreeing to allow either of them to do such a thing after having questioned that Guide on the safety of them and their lack of teeth.
It was with several informative leaflets on Tortoises that the pair had made their way back to the private beach outside their cabin to spend the rest of that morning. Sebastian proving entirely keen to embrace that utter warmth of the sun and sand, even those crystal blue waters proving to be far warmer then any Dorian had ever felt. His fear of those stingrays so assured however that he hardly dared venture further then his knees into that ocean tide, his silver gaze so prone to watching Sebastian decidedly closely each time the vampire swum further out or merely chose to float upon his back- a talent Dorian found utterly intriguing. There was a certain sort of delight to be had in simply watching his lover embrace that sunlight. The near beaming grin on Sebastian's lips at the simple action of standing within it so having a habit of prompting that flutter within Dorian's own chest. That utter affection and simple love he had for his husband so seeming all the more potent in those moments. He adored to see Sebastian that happy. He adored to see that colour to his features, to see him so very alive even if so surely loved the man even in his vampiric state all the same.
His own form lay sprawled out upon that beach towel now, his toned figure dressed in nothing save for those swim shorts, the shade trees above to keeping that sun from his eyes and face while allowing it to warm his back as his head rested within his hand, propped up upon his elbow. His free hand reached easily for that platter that rested between them, Dorian plucking a piece of that sweet fruit from it before glancing over to assure Sebastian had eaten something in turn. The vampire utterly prone to forgetting his need to both eat and drink when his body was mortal. Dorian unable to prevent that soft chuckle that fell from his lips at the sight of his over then. Sebastian having dismissed a need for a towel at all, his fit figure stretched face-down atop the heated sand and within the full expanse of the sun as it attempting to absorb as much of it as he could.
"Darling, I am not going to paint with you this afternoon if you are covered in sand. Your going to have to wash that off before we go inside."
Another chuckle rose softly from him again, Dorian easing himself up and onto his knees to shift closer to his husband, his fingers reaching out to run near teasingly down Sebastian's back. The vampires pale skin so gloriously warm! Sebastian seeming to stir a little beneath his touch, Dorian so leaning down to press his lips to the heated skin of the mans shoulder. That gentle trail of warm kisses moved easily along then to press to the nape of his neck, Dorian so fully intended to near tickle that skin with those soft touches if only to make Sebastian's shoulders lift with that playful sensation. The Monarch pulling back just so before resting gently upon his lovers back. One eye lifting as Sebastian's head so angled towards him.
"Do you know, Mon Cher, you look terribly sexy with sunglasses on. I think one should be made aware of this."
That warm simper found his features again, Dorian simply continuing to allow one finger to trace that idle pattern across his lovers back and shoulder. The Monarch quite assured he had never been so simply relaxed in all his life as he had been those past few days upon this very island. His affinity for the very life he so afforded his lover had become advanced enough to easily permit Sebastian that time in the sun with little effort upon his part. Dorian content to simply continue to observe that light that existed around his physique and so assured him of the life that ran through him. The Monarch uttering softly then, that look near impish;
"I have quite made an important decision today, Bastian. Would you care to hear it?
