Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian Ellington-Aragona
Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after
That island resort had become something of a paradise for the English vampire. Those days spent under the warm embrace of that sun he was so barred from were nothing short of exquisite, even if rising each morning was nothing short of a struggle. Pulling himself from the depths of that death was a challenge, one made easier only by the taste of Dorian's blood on his lips. It was that very sweetness that prompted the vampire to rise that morning, that cling of death fought off by that joy he took in knowing those warm beaches would surely be awaiting them. With the sand between his toes and the sun streaming on his pale skin, that morning was the very epitome of perfect. Although it had taken some prompting to convince the Fae Monarch to leave behind his shoes, soon enough he found himself dragged down those island trails with the hopes of seeing flowers and the multicolored iguanas. That quest for those reptiles was one he readily embarked upon, that grin upon his husband's features in clear amazement of those pigments and peculiar creatures made that hunt all the worth it. Much less that Sebastian all too readily enjoyed mimicking them, reclining on those same heated rocks whilst Dorian had busied himself sketching those oversized lizards.
They hardly stayed there long, however, his husband's curiosity forever getting the best of them and soon enough, Sebastian had found himself trekking across the far side of the island with a guide promising them giant tortoises. Even though the poor man had informed them, to some degree, of the size of those infamous turtles, even Sebastian had hardly been prepared for just how large they truly were. He was hardly as inclined as his lover to feed the large animals, in fact, it was an activity he readily voiced his hesitance in, at least until their Guide assured him they hardly had the teeth to do any real damage. Even so, he still found himself watching his husband with a protective eye as Dorian fed the slow-moving creatures those pieces of melon and grass. Frankly, it looked as if his lover was feeding a giant, sluggish stool then an actual creature. Still, he supposed those furniture animals were acceptable, particularly when they brought that ethereal grin to his lover's face. It was that very look, surely, that finally prompted Sebastian to give into that request to join Dorian in feeding the things, even if he was entirely happy when the creatures had their fill.
It was only once those ever lingering questions of the tortoises were answered, thanks to those leaflets, that Sebastian was finally able to coax the King away from those reptiles and back towards their own private portion of that warm beach. How he relished in being back on that shore! He relished in that feel of the sun on his skin, in the warm embrace of the sand, and, perhaps more importantly, in that simple act of resting. Despite his particular fondness for that life Dorian gifted him with, Sebastian found himself still caught off guard by those limitations of his mortal body - disadvantages he'd all but forgotten after so many years spent undead, immortal, and quite near invincible. That walk to the far end of the island and back had left him distinctly tired, much less the warmth of the sun so draining in a fashion he'd quite near forgotten. The end result, as it were, prompted the vampire to simply lay within the hot sand, unperturbed by the lack of a towel or that familiar grumble within his stomach.
Sebastian's arms were crossed in front of him, creating a small pillow for his head to nestle into. He dozed in and out of wakefulness, only occasionally shifting to ensure the man at his side was still there. It was on that very fringe of sleepiness that Dorian's voice pulled him from, even if he was hardly inclined to stir in the slightest. The long walk, it seemed, had taken more out of him then he had anticipated. "Isn't that what the ocean is for?" He answered in a murmur, the vampire entirely content to stay settled on that shore, at least until Doran's fingers touched the warmth of his muscular back. He was all the more sensitive, in that mortal flesh, to each touch of his lover's skin against his own, as if that very life Dorian provided him so reacted in a tingling sort of sensation to its creator's touch. A soft sound reverberated within the back of his lips as Dorian's lips pressed against his skin, only for that very sensation to continue against that all too tender part of his neck. He could hardly help that soft chuckle on his lips as his shoulder shifted, his head following suite only to lay in such a fashion to eye the ever impish Monarch. The man clearly desired Sebastian's attention and he was hardly one to deny such a wish.
Sebastian could hardly help that scoff upon his lips at Dorian's sudden assertion that the vampire was decidedly pleasing only with this addition of sunglasses. His head tilted downwards ever so slightly, those impossibly bright blue eyes glanced over the top of the rims in a rather pointed look. "Has anyone told you that you look painfully sexy in your swim trunks?" He inquired, that British lit particularly strong as Sebastian tried to express exactly as 'painful' as it was. His own features twitched into a similarly amused simper as he leaned his head back down upon his arms, altogether aware of Dorian's finger trailing across the bare flesh of his shoulder. There was little doubt that, despite how taxing that sun could be, Sebastian was enjoying every moment of life afforded to him, the vampire entirely at ease beneath that warm glow that had once so perturbed him. His faith in his lover entirely steadfast. That impish look that suddenly crossed the King's features, however, caused his eyebrow to raise ever so slightly. "Of course, what did you decide?" He inquired, and yet, there was a note of suspicion, all the same, the man entirely certain that whatever finding Dorian had made hardly was as sincere as the King had made it out to be.
