Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
She wasn't sure why Nadya or one of the other pack members hadn't come downstairs yet to see what the smell of blood was all about. Maybe Frost had some power to block their pack bond from tingling or something so they wouldn't know. He was the alpha so he would probably have that ability. It looked like it hurt like hell. She watched him hiss air through his teeth as he tried to move his arm. Why didn't he just pull it out? Did it hurt that much? She watched the blood drip onto the tile floor of the bathroom, her nose wrinkling up. She wondered who would have to clean that up. He moved his arm again, inhaling sharply before his gaze fell on Malia. She tensed a little, not sure how he was going to react. Would he tell her to get lost? She made a comment about the arrow in her leg, hoping if she found some way to relate, maybe he'd let her help. It seemed to work cause he quirked his lip and said he believed her. Then he gestured for her to come inside and after some consideration, she shrugged and stepped into the bathroom, still giving him room so she didn't accidentally hit his injured arm or something. He tossed a rag on the tile to help soak up some of the blood then asked how she got the arrow out of her leg. She shrugged again. "I didn't. Henry did." When he asked if it went all the way through, she nodded. "Yep." He said his arm was trying to heal and it was slowing everything down. She knew what that felt like cause her leg was doing the same thing when she was shot. He asked if they had something in the kitchen to cut the arrow and she furrowed her brows, thinking. She knew they had knives but would that cut through an arrow? Then he groaned as he moved his arm. She scowled, sorry for his pain. He looked thoughtful for a moment before asking about power tools and she shook her head. "Do those work by magic or something?" Then she thought about her own incident in the arrow in her leg. "I think Henry used some fence pliers or something. Do we have any of those in the kitchen?" |
