Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

My Own Form of Chaos

He wished with everything he had that he could take all her fears away with just a few words, but alas, he knew that would only be a lie and he couldn't do that to her. She was so meek and hesitant as she agreed to go with him, his coaxing words about how quiet the diner was seeming to finish tearing down at least a little of the wall she'd built up between herself and the outside world. He stepped out onto the porch with her, giving her all the time in the world to get re-acquainted with being outside, feeling the tension in her body and wishing he had the power to help ease it. He was not usually a patient man at all yet something about Yumi soothed him and helped ease his own usual demeanor. He couldn't help but treat her like a fragile creature that he needed to protect at all costs.

She finally stepped down to the sidewalk and he followed, matching her own pace so she would feel neither like she was leading or following. He wanted her only to feel safe. When she hesitated at the end of the sidewalk, he paused with her, not saying a word, only glancing to her expression patiently, waiting for her to give the go ahead. When finally she started walking, he did as well, his own shoulder just a breath away from touching her own but he was careful not to in case it was too much for her. He still recalled so fervently the time she rode on his back but knew that was long in that past and who knows when or if they would ever get that security back in their lives.

When she softly asked his name, he turned his head expectantly to her, lifting a brow inquisitively. When she asked about the coven, he couldn't help but scowl and let out a deep exhale but he gave her the benefit of meeting her gaze before he spoke. "I wish I could tell you that they weren't, that I got them all, but that would be a lie. That particular coven is huge from what research I could find on them, world wide. I probably got at least 80% of what they had here but they'll have re-inforcements coming in to take their place, no doubt. I don't want to scare you but I also don't want to give you false hope. Just know that I'm here whenever you need me, Yumi." He let that sink in before tearing his gaze away, giving her time to process it.

He sighed again before speaking in a much softer voice. "I'm not saying any time soon, but if you're ever interested in some defense training, let me know and I'll set it up. I can also get a few artifacts to help against magic...and to help you escape if you ever need it." He didn't look at her when he offered them, not wanting her to feel pressured to answer. He just wanted to give her something to think about, to know that she wasn't just going to be left blind and helpless this time. He'd heard of witch talismans to so that you can teleport and such in emergency situations. He wanted Yumi to know she would always have a way out if she wanted.
