Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Frost's lips upon her own readily eased those nerves that had built up within the young woman. He did still want this family with her. "It's still too early to know." Nadya shook her head as she gently took the ultrasound from his hand and placed it onto the coffee table. "My next appointment is in a month and we should know then. You can come with me...if you want?" She wanted him to be as much a part of it as he wished to be. New elation lifted her spirits, her attention shifting to the stairs as the twins came down in their riding gear. Izzy happily threw herself into the mix, announcing Nadya's pregnancy with ease. Frost's comment that she should have told him like that causing her to smile and roll her eyes. "It's our first, it should be special." She teased as she stood, taking Micah's hand before looking back at her mate in question.
The twins led the way, far used to that walk by now that they had no trouble with it. Nadya hung back with Frost, her fingers interlacing with his as they walked. She knew he was not much for public affection but stole her moments in times like these where there was no one else but them. "Hmm?" Nadya was broken from her thoughts as Frost's question. "Oh...I don't know. I didn't shift until I was 5 and the twins shifted when they were 6 months. We'll just have to...wait and see." Was he hoping for it to be like him? If it was like her...would it disappoint him? Only now did that thought occur to her. As they entered the barn it took quite some control for Nadya not to call after her daughter to not run and her son to be careful touching other animals. This environment one they had become more comfortable in than herself and hardly needed any guidance. This trip was for her to see what they learned after all.
"Whatever it is...I'd like you to give it it's true name." Nadya's gaze shifted from her son to her mate with a small smile, brushing a kiss to his cheek. "My Rikarour." She had meant what she had said before about wanting their child to know its heritage, sharing Frost's dream of showing them his homeland. It hardly made sense for her to take the twins to see Mexico when she had no ties to it; ensuring they could speak Spanish as far as that went. It would be different with their own though. She knew how much Frost's homeland was still a part of him.
Nadya left Frost's side to follow her children to the stall that housed their pony. The pair were already in the stall though it seemed to be a stand-off between them. Neither could agree on who would have the first turn to show their mother what they had learned and as such neither would relinquish the lead rope. Four year olds were not known for their compromising skills. "Izzy, I'm sure you get to go first a lot, let your brother go first this time. If you can't cooperate then you're not going to ride at all today." A heavy pout crossed the little girl's features as she reluctantly let go of the rope though her gaze sought out Frost as if looking for some back up. It was usually him who governed them in this place after all.
