Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

What a truly baffling conversation this had so turned into! Yet, the Monarch could hardly deny his intrigue within it all the same. After all, few women he had ever known had ever been so liberal in their discussion, nor so willing to share that near in-depth tale of conception and pregnancy. Dorian wholly inclined to find himself both mortified at such bold conversation and too- rather fascinated all at once. The world of women, after all, was a truly curious one. Dorian so having been raised in a day and age much akin to Sebastian's own in which the affairs of women were just that- matters for women alone. Such things as pregnancy and birth and 'monthlies' (whatever they were, Dorian truly was not sure) were simply deemed topics unfit for male consideration or conversation. Such things very near considered secrets for women alone and yet it would seem the modern world had changed. Amelia embracing that far more liberal society in which they found themselves. The vampire woman decidedly open and wholly honest in her telling of that tale. The Fae King so assured his mind was positively whirling with such conversation as a veritable plethora of further questions so tugged at his thought. That singular, fleeting glance from his own husband however was surely all that was needed to prompt the Monarch, for now, to silence those further queries. Later, perhaps, within the confines of their own home he might query Sebastian further upon just what this business of 'monthlies' was and too what this Alien movie had so been about. Dorian, for the most part, utterly loath to be left out of such conversation via his own ignorance of the topic.

Amelia's insistence that herself and Troy had indeed taken but one union to conceive their daughter was near astounding! That very look of surprise was mirrored upon Sebastian's own features as Dorian silver gaze so turned toward Troy with a look near akin to admiration. After all, such a feat was near unheard of among the Fae race, let alone to achieve such a thing with a vampire. A species so already deemed unable to conceive at all. How truly ...talented Troy so must have been with such matters. Any further consideration upon that very notion however was forgotten in the wake of Amelia's near casual mention that, prior to Troy, she had taken no lover to her bed in some twenty five years! The very mention of such a length of time so readily prompted the Fae King to near choke upon that sip of wine. Dorian so momentarily struggled to regain his breath before insisting he had surely taken to larger mouthful of that pleasant liquid. That rather poor excuse upon his part so surely not believed and yet that very manner so dictated his efforts to conceal it all the same. That look Troy afforded him held but every bit of understanding for his bafflement over such a length of time spent without that physical release. Amelia, for her part, hardly seeming to terribly bothered by his own surprise. Dorian not at all assured how any being, man or woman, existed for twenty five years without seeking those more intimate engagements.

Amelia's assurance that she desired to practice control in all things and that, when she had allowed herself such intimacy after so long without, that such a moment had been all the better prompted a look near dubious to his own features. Dorian assured those evenings he spent within his own husbands arms were utterly exquisite and that a wait of twenty five years would offer little improvement and a considerable degree of frustration. Dorian entirely sure that Amelia's control surely eclipsed even his own. Troy and Amelia decidedly remkarable beings in vastly different ways. It was that talk of attempting to prevent those further, unplanned pregnancies however that so prompted the Monarch to pause in finishing his meal. Dorian momentarily contemplative before suggesting that perhaps the couple merely need make use of those more modern preventatives. After all, condoms had certainly come a terribly long way since his own time- at least to his understanding of the matter- Sebastian and himself hardly needing to worry for such things. After all, neither of them was capable of contracting any sort of disease from the other and their shared gender so assured pregnancy was never a concern. Troy and Amelia however so surely faced that later risk. Amelia was quick to assure him that they practised such protection and yet that neither truly cared for it. Troy, in turn, offering hima ready scowl and that rather curt reply that he was using them. Dorian so merely raising an eye and yet he afforded no further comment upon it. Such a topic somewhat sensitive it appeared.

It was Sebastian then, who saw fit to offer that alternative solution. A supernatural problem, he suggested, best solved with a supernatural answer. That mention of a witch perhaps being capable of assisting so coaxing that near curious look to the Fae Kings features and yet he could hardly argue that such an idea might yet prove effective. Dorian content to consider that possibility for several more moments before Amelia asked if they themselves might know anyone. Dorian, this time, offering that soft shake of his head.

"Witches and myself do not share a favourable history, as such, Sebastian and I do not frequently keep their company. Our Palace employs only one aged warlock as a physician and he would not at all be suitable."

Really Geoffrey should have been retired several centuries ago and yet the dear old man was such a part of that palace that no one had the heart to let him go, even if he had suggested Sebastian take more walks in the sunlight to assist with his complexion, Geoffery failing to recognise Sebastian had been a vampire at all. More luck, perhaps, might surely be found through Troy's channels and those he knew. Perhaps even Andras might know of someone whom could be of use to them. Dorian's own attention so returned to what remained of his meal then, those last few bites taken with clear delight before his knife and fork were rested neatly upon his plate. The others so appearing to be finishing in turn.

"This has been a truly lovely evening Amelia, Troy, Tenley. It was most gracious of you to host us. I suppose we best take our leave, Sebastian, before the night grows too late."
